The purpose of this research is to investigate how different age groups of employees view family factors that affect their well-being at work. Work-life balance has recently been a hot topic, resulting in a revolution in human resource policy and practise implementation. Work is not separate from life, and people are under pressure to balance work and life. According to prior literature and research, the key family elements that influence employees’ engagement and job performance at work are marital status, childcare, and elderly care obligations. To acquire a better understanding of employees’ opinions, this study would conduct semi-structured interviews. The results suggest that marital status and childcare giving have varied levels of influence for employees of different ages, however senior care duties influence employees' wellbeing regardless of age group. Some practical ideas for human resource practise to better implement family-friendly working environments would be presented.
