긍정적행동지원, 학급긍정훈육법, 회복적생활교육에 대한 초등교사의 인식 비교

국문 초록

최근 공립 초등학교에서는 교사들의 생활지도 관련 전문성 신장을 위한 각종 연수 및 연구회가 활발하게 진행되고 있지만, 여전히 초등교사들은 학생들의 다양한 정서·행동 문제로 인하여 생활지도에 어려움을 경험하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전통적인 문제행동 지도에 대한 대안으로 제시된 학급긍정훈육법, 회복적생활교육, 그리고 긍정적행동지원의 세 가지 생활지도 접근에 대한 교사들의 인식을 살펴보고, 현장에서 증거기반 실제가 확산될 수 있는 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수도권 지역 75명의 초등교사를 대상으로 생활지도 방법에 대한 효과성 인식, 각 접근법의 실행 원리와 자신들의 생활지도 방안과의 부합 정도 등을 조사하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 학급긍정훈육법과 회복적생활교육은 교사들의 관심이 높은 접근으로 알려져 있지만 실제로는 활발하게 사용되고 있다고 보기 어려우며, 긍정적행동지원은 매우 생소한 개념이었다. 둘째, 긍정적행동지원의 실행 원리는 초등교사들이 갖고 있는 생활지도 방안과 유사하지만, ‘기능분석’과 같은 구체적인 실행 방법에 대한 이해와 활용 정도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 초등학교 현장에서 증거기반 실제에 기반한 생활지도의 필요성과 활성화 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, various training and research have been actively conducted in public elementary schools to improve teachers' life guidance-related expertise, but elementary school teachers are still experiencing difficulties in life guidance due to various emotional and behavioral problems of students. The purpose of this study is to examine teachers' perceptions of the three approaches--positive discipline in the classroom (PDC), restorative discipline, and positive behavior support (PBS)-- to life guidance, which are considered alternatives to traditional problem behavior guidance, and to explore ways to spread evidence-based practices in the field. To this end, 75 elementary school teachers in the Seoul metropolitan area were investigated for their perception of the effectiveness of life guidance methods, the implementation principle of each approach, and the degree of conformity with their life guidance perspective. As a result, first, teachers are known to be highly interested in PDC and restorative discipline, but they are unlikely to use them. Also, PBS is a very unfamiliar concept to them. Second, the implementation principle of PBS is similar to the perspective of life guidance held by elementary school teachers, but the degree of understanding and utilization of specific implementation methods such as 'functional analysis' is low. Based on the results of the study, the necessity and activation plan of life guidance based on evidence-based practices at the elementary school site were discussed.
