국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년기에 어머니 상실을 경험한 음악치료사가 자신의 가족관계를 통찰하여 어머니 상실의 슬픔을 애도하는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 청소년기 어머니 상실을 경험한 연구자의 가족관계 통찰 과정을 자문화기술지의 연구방법을 통해 분석하고 기술하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구자는 청소년기에 경험한 어머니 상실로 인해 가족관계에서의 큰 역동을 경험하였다. 둘째, 연구자는 가족관계의 통찰을 통해 어머니 상실로 인한 억압된 감정을 알아차려 부모화된 모습을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 자신의 가족관계를 통찰하는 과정을 통해 청소년기 어머니 상실의 감정들을 애도함으로써 같은 경험을 하고 있는 가족의 이해를 돕고 그 상처를 치유해나가는 경험적 사례로 제시하는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is an auto-ethnography that documented how a music therapist, who experienced maternal loss during adolescence, gained insights into her family relationships to accept and reflect on the unresolved sadness of the loss. The study’s findings are as follows: Firstly, the researcher underwent significant shifts in family dynamics due to the maternal loss in adolescence. Secondly, the researcher recognized suppressed emotions stemming from maternal loss and discovered her parentified roles, thus acknowledging relevant transference. It is expected that the study fosters understanding of families who have experienced similar losses and vividly informs the mourning process through gaining insight into the researcher’s personal family relationships.
