국문 초록

이 연구는 2022개정 교육과정에 따른 단위학교에서의 학교-지역 연계 교육과정 개발 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국가 및 시·도 교육과정 지침을 검토하고, 교사의 역량, 학교의 조직과 문화, 교장의 리더십, 교육청과 교육지원청의 지원 체제, 학교와 지역사회의 협업 등의 요소를 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로는 문헌·문서 분석과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 활용하였다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통해 도출된 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 교육과정 지침과 학교 현장은 지역사회를 교육과정 개발의 공동 주체로 인식하지 못하고 있으며, 이에 대한 제도적 개선이 필요하다. 둘째, 교사들은 지역사회에 대한 이해와 협력 역량이 부족하여, 이를 강화하는 연수와 교사 교육과정이 필요하다. 셋째, 학교-지역 연계 교육을 전담하는 부서와 인력이 미비하며, 이를 해결하기 위하여 학교조직의 개편과 문화를 조성할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 교육청 및 지자체의 지원 체계가 미흡하여 학교와 지역이 협력할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고 강화할 필요가 있다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 학교-지역 연계 교육과정의 실천적 운영과 정책 개선을 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the development strategies for the school-community curriculum in unit schools under the 2022 Revised National Curriculum. To achieve this, the study examines national and regional curriculum guidelines, focusing on key factors including teacher competencies, school organization and culture, principal leadership, support systems from Office of Education and District Office of Education, as well as school-community collaboration. The research applies document analysis and focus group interviews (FGI) as its primary methodologies. The findings of the study are as follows. First, current curriculum guidelines and school practices do not recognize the community as a co-participant in curriculum development, highlighting the need for institutional improvements. Second, teachers lack an understanding of the community and the ability to collaborate effectively, necessitating enhanced training programs and professional development. Third, there is a lack of dedicated departments and personnel responsible for the school-community curriculum. To address this issue, it is necessary to restructure school organizations and foster a culture that supports such initiatives. Fourth, the support systems provided by Office of Education and local government remain inadequate. Therefore, it is imperative to establish and reinforce a systematic framework that enables effective collaboration between schools and local communities. Based on these findings, this study provides implications for the practical implementation and policy improvement of the school-community curriculum.
