성인발달장애인을 위한 대학기반 평생교육에 대한 부모인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 성인발달장애인을 위한 대학기반 평생교육에 대한 부모인식을 통해 성인발달장애인이 대학에서의 평생교육 활동을 활성화하는 데 이바지하는 것이다. 연구방법은 평생교육 경험이 있는 성인발달장애인 부모 7명을 대상으로 심층면담을 각각 2시간씩 실시하여 5개의 대주제를 도출하였다. 연구결과 연구참여자들은 자녀의 장애로 인해 어렸을 때부터 겪은 평범하지 않은 삶을 통해 나타난 자녀가 원하는 다양한 삶과 부모의 마음을 담은 ‘장애인 가족의 삶’이 도출되었고, ‘교육은 이렇게’라는 주제가 도출되어 생애주기별 교육과 맞춤교육 등 성취감 있는 교육을 원하였다. ‘평생교육 6대 영역 중 경험한 것과 중요한 것’에서는 취미생활부터 자립의 삶에 필요한 교육으로 나타났다. ‘내 아이에게 필요한 것’에서는 많은 교육정보와 각종 정보에 관한 부족문제 해결과 장애를 이해하는 전문성 있는 교사를 원하였으며, 끝으로 ‘앞으로의 꿈과 평생교육의 방향’이란 주제가 도출되어 성인발달장애인을 위한 지속적인 교육을 위해 대학과정의 평생교육 필요성을 도출하였다. 이에 대학에서의 평생교육 과정과 표준화 방안 마련이 필요하고, 이들을 가르치기 위한 전문적인 지식과 자질을 갖춘 강사진의 구성 및 강사 양성 과정의 필요성을 제언하였다. 또한 대학기반 원스톱 정보통합 시스템 구축을 통해 성인발달장애인의 대학진학 정보 및 산재해 있는 평생교육 정보 및 기관들과의 정보네트워크의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to contribute to revitalizing lifelong education activities in universities for adults with developmental disabilities through parental awareness of university-based lifelong education for adults with developmental disabilities. The research method was to conduct in-depth interviews for 2 hours each with 7 parents of adults with developmental disabilities who have lifelong education experience, and 5 major themes were derived. As a result of the study, the research participants came up with ‘Life of a Disabled Family’, which contains the various lives desired by children and the hearts of parents, as revealed through the unusual lives they have experienced since childhood due to their children’s disabilities, and the theme ‘Education is like this’ was derived. They wanted education with a sense of accomplishment, such as life cycle-specific education and customized education. In ‘Experienced and Necessary Among the Six Areas of Lifelong Education’, everything from hobbies to education necessary for a life of independence was revealed. In ‘What my child needs’, they wanted a professional teacher who could solve the problem of lack of educational information and various types of information and understand disabilities. Finally, the theme of ‘future dreams and direction of lifelong education’ was derived, so that adults with developmental disabilities The need for lifelong education in university courses was derived for continuous education. Accordingly, I suggested staying at the university to participate in continuing education courses and seek professional knowledge and qualifications. In addition, the need for information on college admissions for adults with developmental disabilities and an information network with institutions was suggested through the establishment of a one-stop information integration system.
