국문 초록

Under the theoretical framework of Skopos Theory in cross-cultural communication, the core of audiovisual subtitle translation lies in achieving specific translation purposes and making adaptive adjustments based on the target audience’s needs and cultural background. Subtitle translation is crucial, as it not only needs to accurately convey the content of the film but also consider the audience’s cultural background and comprehension ability. This paper, adopting the perspective of Skopos Theory, explores the principles and methods applied in audiovisual subtitle translation. Taking the widely acclaimed Chinese film Hi, Mom as a case study, it conducts a detailed analysis of its subtitle translation. Guided by Skopos Theory, the study examines several key segments of the film to demonstrate how the translated subtitles can ensure faithful representation of the original text while enabling target audiences to fully understand and engage with the film. This paper argues that under the guidance of the three major principles of Skopos Theory—the Skopos Rule, the Coherence Rule, and the Loyalty Rule—complex issues in subtitle translation can be handled with greater flexibility. As a result, the translated subtitles not only accurately convey the original meaning but also resonate with the target audience, ultimately enhancing the film’s international communication effectiveness and audience reception.

영문 초록

在跨文化传播中的论框架下，影视字幕翻译的核心在于实现特定的翻译目的，并根据目标受众的需求和文化背景进行适应性调整。字幕翻译至关重要，它不仅需要准确传达影片内容，还需要考虑观众的文化背景和理解能力。本文以目的论为视角，探讨了影视字幕翻译中运用的原则和方法。本文以备受欢迎中国电影《你好，李焕英》为例对其字幕翻译进行了详细分析。在目的论的指导下，通过对影片中几个关键段落的分析，展示了如何在忠实于原文的基础上，使目标观众能够充分理解和接受影片内容。本本文指出，在目的论的三大原则——目的原则、连贯原则与忠诚原则的指导下，字幕翻译中的复杂问题可以得到更灵活地处理，从而使译文既准确传达原意，又能与目标观众产生共鸣，最终提升影片的国际传播效果和观众接受度。
