오즈 야스지로의 <만춘(晩春)>과 홍상수의 <인트로덕션> 비교연구

국문 초록

최근 스토리를 기반으로 하는 콘텐츠의 제작환경이 빠르게 변화하고 성장하고있다. 영화도 거기에 발맞춰 변화하고 있다. 요즘, 영화관객의 스토리에 대한 요구가 높아짐에 따라, 영화는 점점 더 전통적 내러티브에 기반한 ‘스토리’ 매체가되어가고 있다. 그러나 한편으로 영화는 ‘이미지’이다. 보이지 않는 것을 보이도록 하는 것, 비가시적 영역에서의 가시적 이미지를 표현하는 것이 영화이다. 고전적 문법에 충실한 내러티브 영화 만큼이나, 영화 이미지와 표현에 대한 연구도중요하다. 영화는 대중문화이지만, 시지각 예술이기도 하기 때문이다. 바로 그렇기 때문에 오즈 야스지로와 홍상수에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 두 감독은 서로 활동하는 시/공간이 달랐음에도 불구하고, 영화예술가로서 메타-영화의 관점에 대해, 시/공간의 추상적 활용에 대해, 무엇보다 비가시적 세계의 탐구를 통해 영화를 만들었다는 유사성을 갖고 있다. 이에 따라 본고는 오즈야스지로감독의 영화<만춘>과 홍상수 감독의 영화<인트로덕션>의 비교분석을통해, 특히 비가시적 서사기능을 고찰하여 오즈 야스지로와 홍상수의 모더니즘적세계를 이해하려 한다. 작품연구의 근거는, 추상적 개념의 ‘시간’과 표현의 대상이 아닌 그 자체로서의 ‘사물’ 그리고 고전적 내러티브와는 다른 ‘일상’등 이다.

영문 초록

Recently, the production environment for story-based contents is changing and growing rapidly. The film is also changing with it. These days, with the increasing demand for stories from cinema audience, movies are increasingly becoming a ‘story’ medium based on traditional narratives. However, on the other hand, a film is an ‘image’. Film is to express the invisible with visible images so that it can be seen. As much as a narrative film that is faithful to the classical grammar, the study of film images and expressions is also important. Because cinema is not only a story-based pop culture, but also a visual perception art. That is why it is necessary to study Yasujiro Ozu flm and Sangsoo Hong film. Although the two directors were active in different time/space, as a film artist, on the perspective of meta-film, on the abstract use of time/space, above all, it has a similarity that a film was made through exploration of the invisible world. Accordingly, this paper intends to study the modernist world of director Yasujiro Ozu and director Sangsoo Hong by examining the invisible narrative function through comparative analysis of director Ozu film and director Hong Sang-soo’s film . The basis for research is ‘time’ as an abstract concept, ‘things’ as such as not an object of expression, and ‘daily life’ that is different from classical narratives.
