청각장애 중학생과 일반 중학생의 불안, 우울, 그리고 학교적응 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 청각장애 중학생을 대상으로 불안, 우울, 학교적응 정도에 있어 일반 중학생과 비교하여 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보고, 불안ㆍ우울과 학교적응 정도 간의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 C, P, T시 각각 1곳에 소재한 특수학교에 재학 중인 청각장애 중학생 57명과 동일지역에 소재한 일반학교에 재학 중인 중학생 288명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구에 사용된 검사도구는 자기보고식 불안척도, 우울척도, 학교적응척도이다. 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각장애 중학생의 불안 정도는 일반 중학생에 비해 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 청각장애 중학생의 우울 정도는 일반 중학생보다 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 청각장애 중학생의 학교적응 정도는 일반 중학생과 비교해 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 마지막으로 일반 중학생은 불안, 우울과 학교적응 모두에서 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 한편 청각장애 중학생은 불안과 우울, 우울과 학교적응에서는 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났으나, 불안과 학교적응 간 유의미한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the anxiety, depression, and school adaptability of middle school students with and without hearing impairment, and to examine the relationship among anxiety, depression, and school adaptability. In this study, total number of 345 middle school students participated and 57 students of them were with hearing impairment, the others were without disabilities. This study used Children's Depression Inventory(CDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI), school life adaptability scale to assess the degree of depression, anxiety and school adaptability of middle school students with and without hearing impairment. The results from this study are as follow: First, the anxiety level of the students with hearing impairment is significantly higher than those without hearing impairment. Second, the depression level of the students with hearing impairment is significantly higher than those without hearing impairment. Third, regarding the school adaptability level, there are no significant differences among students with and without hearing impairment. Forth, there is a correlation between anxiety and depression, and between depression and school adaptability in both groups. But there is no correlation between anxiety and school adaptability in the group of students with hearing impairment.
