초등학교 전이프로그램을 통한 특수아동의 학교생활 적응과 부모 및 교사의 인식에 대한 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 입학을 앞둔 특수아동에게 전이프로그램을 실시하여 초등학교 적응과정과 부모 및 교사의 인식에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 초등학교 취학 예정인 특수아동 4명, 아동 4명의 부모님과 초등학교 담임교사들이었다. 전이프로그램은 초등학교 1학년에게 요구되는 교과영역과 생활적응행동에 관련된 내용으로 구성되었으며, 총 9회기 중 2회는 현장에 대한 사전 경험으로 초등학교를 방문하는 것이 포함되었다. 특수아동의 적응과정은 부모님과 교사의 관찰을 통해 분석하였고, 부모님과 교사의 전이과정에 대한 인식은 프로그램 실시 전, 후 부모님과 담임교사의 직접 개별 면담을 통해 알아보았다. 면담과 관찰을 통해 얻게 된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 전이프로그램 실시는 참여아동의 기본적인 생활습관, 학습태도, 교우관계, 기타 적응행동에 대부분 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 참여부모는 전이교육의 필요성에 대해 긍정적이며, 시기는 모두 6개월 이상이 좋겠다고 하였다. 전이 시기에 가장 어려운 점은 가정에서의 적절한 지도방법을 모른다는 것이었으며, 프로그램에 포함되기를 바라는 내용은 교우관계와 아동 스스로 할 수 있는 활동이라고 응답하였다. 또한 참여교사도 전이프로그램 효과에 대해 대부분 긍정적인 태도를 보였으며, 전이프로그램 필요성에 대해 긍정적이었고, 전이프로그램 실시 시기는 입학하기 3개월 전부터 입학 시기까지 지속적이며 반복적으로 실시되는 것이 적당하다고 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the adaptation to elementary school with transition program for the children with the special educational needs and their parents and teachers' recognition of the transition The participants were 12 persons of 3 groups that the first group was 4 children who enrolled in Kindergarten and supposed to be in the Elementary School, the second group was 4 their mothers and father and 4 regular classroom teachers. The transition program consisted of the curriculum required for the first grade of the elementary school to adapt their school and the contents on the behavioral adaptation. The recognition of the parents was described through the pre & post-transition program interview with their parents and the adaptation was scaled through their observations during 4 months of their child. Additionally in order to see the adaptation in the school and teachers' recognition of transition program, observation and interview were administered during 2 months. The results of the study through interviews and observations are as follows. First, the transition program was effective on the daily habits, learning attitudes and social reactions with peers. Second, participant parents recognized the need for special service for the transition. They mentioned that the difficulties in transition were the absence of the educational program for transition. Besides, they assumed almost positive attitudes toward the effect of the transition program, the participant teachers considered the program as effective and essential with mention of continuity and repetition of the program.
