정신지체 특수학교 직업평가 실태 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 정신지체 특수학교의 직업평가 실태를 조사ㆍ분석하여 향후 개선방안을 모색하는 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있었다. 전국 정신지체 특수학교 81개교를 대상으로 직업평가 실시 현황, 담당 인력, 도구, 결과의 활용을 중심으로 구성된 조사지를 배부하여 66개교에서 조사지가 회수되었다. 회수된 조사지를 토대로 한 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업평가는 분석 대상교 66개교 중 62개교에서 실시하고 있었으며, 중학교 이상의 과정 중에서는 전공과에서 실시율이 가장 높았다. 직업평가 실시 시기는 상급학교 진급사정 시, 중학교와 고등학교 및 전공과 과정별 1회, 학년별 1회, 학기별 1회가 다양하게 분포되어 있었으며, 실시 목적으로는 중ㆍ고등학교 및 전공과 과정 학생의 현장실습이나 취업의뢰 시 참고자료로 활용하기 위함이 다수 의견으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직업평가 담당 인력으로 66개교 중 51개교에서 교외 인력을 포함하고 있었으며, 직업평가 담당 인력에 대한 교육이나 연수 또한 학교 밖 외부 기관의 의존도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 직업평가 도구로는 사회성숙도 검사와 KEDI-WISC의 보유율과 사용율이 가장 높았으며, MDS, Valpar Component Work Sample Series 등의 작업표본평가와 상황ㆍ현장평가 등은 사용율과 실시율에서 상대적으로 낮았다. 넷째, 직업평가 결과는 중ㆍ고등학교 및 전공과 과정 학생의 현장실습이나 취업의뢰 시 참고자료로 활용한다는 의견이 다수인 것으로 분석되었다. 연구의 결과에 기초하여 정신지체 특수학교의 효율적인 직업평가를 위한 제언이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to examine status of vocational evaluation in special schools for students with mental retardation in terms of present evaluation condition, evaluator, and the use of tools and use of evaluation results. Major findings were as follows: (1) 62 schools out of 66 schools in the study were performed vocational evaluation, and post-school programs showed the highest vocational evaluation performance percentage. The time of vocational evaluation was varied; before advancing into a new grade, once a semester, or once a year. The purpose of vocational evaluation was for the on-the-job training for middle school, high school students or to use as data for employment. (2) There was a high dependence on the outside vocational evaluators for proceeding vocation evaluation and personnel training in vocational evaluation. 51 schools out of the 66 schools utilize vocational evaluators except school teachers for their vocational evaluation. (3) Social Maturity Scale and Korean Educational Development Institute Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children were the most frequently used tools for evaluation. On the other hand, Work Samples Evaluation like McCarron-Dial Evaluation Systems, Valpar Component Work Sample Series, and situational evaluation or on the job evaluation were less regularly used in schools. (4) The results of the vocational evaluation were used for reference in employment inquiries for middle schoolㆍhigh school and post-school programs students. (5) The participants suggested more preservice and inservice training programs in vocational evaluation, and more supplement of various vocational evaluation tools.
