노래 삽입 동화활동이 초등 저학년 지적장애 학생의 수업참여행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 책을 매개로 한 듣기, 읽기 활동에 관심이 없으며, 적절한 수업참여가 어려운 3명의 지적장애 아동을 대상으로 노래를 삽입한 동화활동을 실시하여 수업참여행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하였으며, 기초선과 유지기간에는 노래의 삽입 없이 동화만 들려주고, 중재기간에는 아동에게 친숙한 동요의 전체, 혹은 일부분을 동화에서 반복되는 주요 어휘나 간단한 문장으로 개사하여 이를 등장인물 등장 시나 해당 장면에 삽입하여 동화책을 읽어주는 활동을 실시하였다. 수업참여행동에 대한 자료는 10초 간격의 부분 간격 기록법으로 측정하여 세 아동의 착석행동, 응시행동, 적절한 구어 반응의 발생률을 각각 산출하였다. 연구결과 노래 삽입 동화활동은 3명의 지적장애 아동 모두의 착석행동, 응시행동, 적절한 구어로 반응하기를 포함한 세 가지 수업참여행동 발생율을 증가시켰으며, 기초선 단계에서 가장 낮은 발생율 수준을 보였던 C아동의 상승율 기울기가 가장 컸다. 중재 종료 2주 이후 노래를 삽입하지 않은 조건에서도 중재기간의 평균 발생율과 유사, 혹은 그 이상의 높은 유지효과를 보였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of fairy tale telling using songs on the on-task behaviors of children with intellectual disability. Fairy-tale telling using songs refers to the activity which an adult sings familiar and revised children's songs with repeated vocabulary and simple sentences of the story during a fairy-tale telling. For the purpose of this study 3 children with intellectual disabilities were selected according to criteria. 25 fairy-tale books and 12 children's songs were used as experimental tools. This study was performed baseline, intervention, maintenance using the design of multiple probe design across participants. The data of rates of three on-task behaviors including sitting behavior, gazing behavior, and appropriate verbal response were collected using the partial interval recording system at interval of 10 seconds. The results of this study ware as follows: fairy-tale telling using songs had effects on increasing three on-task behaviors including sitting behavior, gazing behavior, and appropriate verbal response of 3 children with intellectual disability. Also The intervention had an effect on maintenance of the behaviors. This study suggests that fairy tale telling using songs is able to be used as an effective intervention to increase reading competency for elementary school students with intellectual disability and poor on-task behaviors.
