장애아동 치료지원서비스 이용 실태 및 부모의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 보건복지부의 장애아동 재활치료와 교육과학기술부의 특수교육관련서비스로서의 치료지원을 포괄하는 치료지원서비스의 전반적 이용실태와 부모의 인식을 연구하고자 하였다. 이에 13세 이하의 장애아동을 자녀로 두고 있으며 부산광역시내에 소재하고 있는 장애아동 교육 및 치료기관에 자녀를 보내고 있는 110명의 부모들을 대상으로 치료지원서비스 이용실태 및 요구에 관한 설문을 실시하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 치료지원을 받는 장애아동들은 보건복지부에 의한 장애아동재활치료를 가장 많이 이용하였으며, 주로 지인의 소개로 정보를 습득하였다. 치료를 받는 이유로는 의사소통 향상이 가장 많았고, 언어치료를 가장 많이 받고 있었다. 둘째, 치료지원서비스, 치료과정, 치료환경 등에 대한 부모의 인식은 비교적 긍정적으로 나타났으나 치료지원 비용에 대해서는 만족도가 낮았다. 셋째, 장애아동 부모들은 다양한 치료지원프로그램, 치료사의 전문성 및 치료기관의 증가 등을 요구하였으며, 서비스 이용과정에서의 교통비 부담 및 교통이용의 불편함을 지적하였다.

영문 초록

This study was proposed to research actual conditions and parental perceptions of therapeutic support services. It conducted surveys for parents of children with disabilities under the age of 13 in Busan, and the 110 responded survey results were analyzed by using SPSS Win.(ver. 18.0). Results of the study are as follows:First, children receiving rehabilitation therapeutic services supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfare were 66.4%, and children receiving therapeutic support services supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology were 59.1%. Children under the duplication of support services were 27.3%. In the type of therapy, speech therapy was most frequently received. Second, parental perceptions of therapeutic support services, the therapeutic process, and therapeutic environment were positive generally. Third, as regards parental needs with therapeutic support services, they recognized the lack of diversities of therapeutic programs. With respect to requirements to improve therapeutic support services, they wanted to fund expansion in care cost as a priority issue. And they wanted to establish and expand therapeutic support facilities, to secure therapist and to enhance professionalism.
