전환중심 교육실습 프로그램이 예비특수교사의 전환교육지식과 교수수행역량에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 전환교육 및 전환의 요소가 강조된 교육실습 프로그램에 참여한 예비특수교사들의 전환교육지식 및 이해와 전환교육 중심 교수수행 역량에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 특수교육 및 관련학과 교육실습생 10명을 대상으로 지적장애 특수학교에서 이루어지는 4주간 교육실습에 전환교육 및 관련 요소를 삽입하여 제시하고 이를 교육실습 활동 전반에 걸쳐 적용할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 학생들의 전환교육 지식 및 이해는 장애학생 전환교육 관련 문헌을 바탕으로 개발된 전환교육 지식 및 이해 문항 평가를 통해 측정되었고, 전환관련 교수수행역량은 교원능력개발평가 특수학교 교사용 매뉴얼(2012)에 제시된 특수교사용 동료교원 평가 문항을 수정하여 사용된 자기보고식 평정척도와 실제 실습 자료인 교육실습일지와 교수-학습계획안에 대한 질적 분석을 통해 파악되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 전환중심 교육 실습프로그램의 실시로 교육실습생들의 전환교육 지식 및 이해와 전환교육 중심 교수 수행역량이 향상되었다. 둘째, 실습자료에 대한 질적 분석 결과, 교육실습생들은 수업 실습시 교과 수업 계획에 전환교육 영역 및 요소 반영, 학생 주도적 활동 지원, 학습자 특성 및 교과 내용 분석과 수업 진행 등 전반적인 교수 수행역량에 있어서 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교육실습기관 및 예비특수교사 양성과정의 실제 및 후속연구를 위한 논의와 제언이 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of teaching practicum program knowledge and skills in transition areas were embedded on preservice teachers’ transition knowledge and their performance competency for teaching students with disabilities. The subjects of this study were 10 senior college students seeking a special education teacher certification, and they enrolled in a 4-week practicum course offering transition-focused training and activities. To measure students’ transition knowledge, researchers-developed basic test items were used. A questionnaire developed by Korean Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology(2012) was adapted was used to measure students’ transition related performance competency. Data were analyzed using paird sample t-test. Students’ daily field notes, class evaluation, and lesson plans were also collected and qualitatively analyzed. The results of this investigation demonstrated that (1) participating students' level of transition knowledge and understanding improved through the implementation of transition-focused practicum, and (2) their instructional skills and abilities using appropriate transition strategies, planning and embedding transition-related contents, and supporting student-directed learning in classroom. Implications for practices and future research were discussed.
