정보통신활용 교과에서 PBL 모형이 장애학생들의 문제해결력과 태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 특수학교 기본교육과정에 속한 정보통신활용 교과에 장애학생의 특성을 반영한 PBL 모형을 적용하여 문제해결능력과 교과에 대한 태도에 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지를 분석하였다. 특수학교에 재학 중인 지체장애, 지적장애, 그리고 자폐장애가 있는 고등학생 20명을 적용 대상으로 하였고, 문제해결력은 ‘문제의 발견 및 진술’, ‘문제에 대한 아이디어 제안 및 적용’, ‘문제해결에 대한 결론짓기’의 3가지 영역에 대해 다루었으며, 교과에 대한 태도는 ‘호기심’, ‘협동성’, ‘자진성’의 3가지 영역에 대해 다루었다. 적용 후의 결과는 IBM SPSS Statistics 23으로 통계처리를 하였으며 요인별 독립표본 T검증을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수학교 기본교육과정 정보통신활용 교과에 적용한 PBL 수업이 문제해결과정의 전체평균과 하위 영역인 ‘문제의 발견 및 진술’, ‘문제에 대한 아이디어의 제공’ 요소에서 월등히 향상되는 유의미한 결과를 보임으로 인해 PBL 모형이 정보통신활용 교과의 문제해결과정에 매우 효과적임을 본 연구를 통해 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 교과에 대한 태도에서 PBL 모형을 적용한 수업이 교과에 대한 태도의 전체평균과 ‘호기심’, ‘협동성’의 하위 영역에서 매우 효과적임을 보여 주었다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로, 장애학생들의 정보통신활용 교과에 구성주의 이론을 바탕으로 한 PBL 모형 수업을 적극 적용함으로써 그들의 문제해결 능력을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐 만 아니라, 교과에 대한 수업태도에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we applied PBL teaching-learning model reflected the characteristics of students with disability to a subject of the information and communications utilization included in a basic curriculum of special-education school. And we analyzed the ability of solving problem and how attitude of students changed towards a class. This study was conducted for approximately 8 weeks on 1~3 grade 20 students(physical disability, intellectual disability, and autistic disorder) from S Special-Education High School located in S-si. The problem-solving test analyzed three areas as ‘discovery and statement of problem,’ ‘suggestion and application of ideas for problem,’ and ‘to form conclusion for problem-solving,’ test for class subject analyzed ‘curiosity,’ ‘cooperation,’ and ‘willingness,’ and statistical processing was conducted on the results using IBM SPSS Statistics 23. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was identified that PBL teaching-learning model is very effective in problem-solving process of the information and communications subject as it showed significantly improved result in sub-factors of problem solving process as ‘discovery and statement of problem’ and ‘provision of ideas for problem.’ Secondly, for attitude towards the class subject, classes that applied PBL teaching-learning model were very effective in attitude towards the information and communications subject as ‘curiosity’ and ‘cooperativity.’ Therefore, according to the results of this study, it was identified that PBL teaching-learning model based on constructive theory improves problem-solving ability of students with disability on information and communications subject, and is also effective in improving their attitude towards a subject.
