장애아동을 둔 다문화가정 어머니들의 삶

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 장애아동을 둔 다문화가정 어머니들의 삶을 내러티브 탐구에 의해 분석하는 것이었다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자들은 28세-37세 범위에 있는 7명의 결혼이주 여성들이었다. 두 명은 조선족, 4명은 베트남인, 한 명은 필리핀인이었다. 연구에 참여한 어머니들의 장애 자녀들은 4세-12세 범위였으며, 지적장애, 지체장애, 의사소통장애였다. 연구 자료는 일대일 심층면담, 전화, 문자 메시지, 메신저, 연구일지와 참여자의 반성적 저널을 통해 이루어졌다. 자료 분석은 내러티브 분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과: 연구 참여자들의 내러티브 자료를 분석한 결과 다음과 같이 여섯 가지 주제가 도출되었다. 첫째, ‘꿈과 행복을 찾아 한국으로, 그러나 고난의 연속’, 둘째, ‘나 때문에 장애아이가?’, 셋째, 장애진단, 그리고 장애아이의 엄마로 살아가기. 넷째, 장애자녀 양육의 버팀목, 다섯째, 내 인생의 주체는 ‘나’, 여섯째, 조금 더 바라는 것이 있어요. 결론: 장애아동을 둔 다문화가정 어머니들은 한국 사회에서 결혼 이주여성으로서의 힘든 삶과 장애아동 양육의 스트레스로 이중, 삼중고의 삶을 경험하고 있으나 나름대로 주체적인 삶을 살기 위해 노력하고 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze narratives on the lives of multi-cultural mothers who have children with disabilities. Method: The participants were 7 marriage based immigrant females. The participants were two Chinese, four Vietnamese and one Filipina. Their age ranged from 28 to 37 year old. Their children with disabilities aged from 4 to 12 year old. Data were collected by face-to-face deep interview, telephone, text message, messenger, investigator's research journals and participants' reflective journals. Results: From the analysis, their narratives were discriminated by six themes. The first was “To Korea with dream and hope but continuous unhappiness”, the second was “Did my child have disabilities because of me?”, the third was “Disability diagnosis of child and living as a mother who has a child with disabilities”, the fourth was “support for rearing the child with disabilities”, the fifth was “The main agent of my life is me”, and the sixth was “I wish more.” Conclusion: Even though multi-cultural mothers who have children with disabilities were experienced double and triple suffering between hard life as an immigrant mother in Korea and stressful life of raising children with disabilities, they tried to live an independent life.
