메타분석에 의한 ‘한국어교육’의 학문 동향과 발전 방향

영문 초록

From the first issue published in 1989 to the 26-1 issue in 2015, 761 research articles have been published in the Journal of Korean Language Education. The 84 articles among them are in English, but the number of non-Korean foreign authors is only 18 out of 544 authors in total; therefore, the characteristic as an international journal should be reinforced. The research of vocabulary contrast, vocabulary meaning, vocabulary learning, and misuse of pronunciation and writing is lacking in the vocabulary area. The number of the studies of the honorific system is only five; this is extremely low compared to the number of the studies of time expression which is 27. Considering the fact that the honorific system is changing, the research of a typical characteristic of the honorific system should be vitalized. Because of a tendency of research articles focusing on research methodologies in social science, quantitative and qualitative studies are increasing. The pursuit of research with depth requires to strengthen qualitative research. Both of humanistic research and research connected to Korean studies are lacking as well.
