국문 초록

본 연구는파평윤씨 노성가문집에 남겨진 여성들의 삶을 순절로써가문및 국가의대의명분을고양한경우, 군자의덕을갖춘 여사, 부덕한삶의문학적 형상화로나누어고찰 하였다. 이로써 어려운 시절을 이겨낸 파평윤씨 노성가 여성들의 역할과 위상을 정절, 효행, 우애, 검약, 교육, 이웃과의 소통, 인간관계 등을 통해 제고해 보았다. 공주이씨와 한산이씨, 조씨부인은 죽음으로써 정절을 지켰으며 윤씨부인은 지극한 효성으로여성들의귀감이되기에국가로부터정려를받았다. 파평윤씨노성가여성들은사화와당쟁의소용돌이속에서출사하지않은남성들을대신하여선조들의가법인부지런함과 검소한 생활을 바탕으로 길쌈과 바느질을 하는 등 가정살림을 이끌었다. 이들 여성들은 군자의 덕을 두루 겸비하였으며, 자신들에게는 검약하면서 재물을 축적하지 않았고 형편이 어려운 형제나 이웃을 구휼하였다. 파평윤씨 노성가 여성들은 법도 있는 가문에서 나고 자라 학문을 익혔으며, 이를 토대로자녀들에게참된학문을할수있도록교육에힘썼다. 여성들은또한예법에밝아부덕을 실천하여 부모에게는 효도하고 형제간에는 우애가 있었으며 친인척 간에도 화목하였다. 이웃의 부인들에게는 예절에 밝아 본보기가 되었으며, 천한 신분의 사람들이나 이웃들에게 가법에 따라 엄정하면서도 너그럽게 대해 사랑과 존경의 대상이 되기도 하였다. 이러한여성들의삶이있었기에파평윤씨노성가문은학문하는집안으로명성을유지할 수 있었으며 가풍을 이은 성실함과 청빈한 생활은 이웃의 본보기가 되었다.

영문 초록

This study considered the aspects of women’s life, which are left in a literary collection of the Papyeong Yun family, by dividing them into a woman who was loyal to her husband by dying for her chastity, a Madam equipped with virtues of a nobleman, and womanly literary portrait of life. This study intended to raise the role and status of women in the Papyeong Yun family who surmounted the time of hardships by their virtuous behavior through their fidelity, filial piety, thriftiness, education, communication with the neighbors, an human relations. The Lees of Gongju and the Lees of Hansan were loyal to their husbands by maintaining their chastity by death. and in case of the daughter of the Lees of Hansan- Madam Yun got ‘Jeongryeo’(the red gate) from the State at the time of her death in appreciation of her devoted filial love for her parents as a role model of women. The women in the Papyeong Yun family led their housekeeping through weaving and sewing based on their ancestors’ family rules, i.e. industrious, thrifty life in replacement of men who didn’t enter the government service in a vortex of the purge of literati and party strife. These women were widely equipped with the virtues of a noble man, and gave relief to siblings, or neighbors who were bad-off instead of accumulating wealth while being strictly thrifty to themselves. The women in the Papyeong Yun family became acquainted with learning while growing up in a well-disciplined family; based on this, they made efforts for education in order for their children & husbands to be devoted to true learning. In addition, the staying on top of good manners, they served their parents devotedly, had fraternity between siblings by putting womanly virtues into practice; further, they hardly ever ran counter to the above things even with their relatives. They became a role model to the madams in the neighborhood as they were smart at proprieties; in addition, the women in the Papyeong Yun family also became the object of love and respect as by treating the people, or neighbors in their humble status strictly also generously according to family rules. On the strength of such women’s life, the Papyeong Yun family was able to maintain their reputation as the family of learning, and their faithfulness and poor but honest living in succession to family tradition became a driving force which made it possible for them to avoid the ravages of Donghak Peasant Revolution or the June 25 Incident.
