극재 어윤적 한시 연구

국문 초록

본연구는克齋魚允績의克齋手稿에수록된漢詩를대상으로, 격변의근대전환기지 식인의 고뇌를 안고 살아간 그의 漢詩가 지닌 문학적 성취를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한국의 근대문학은 근대성과 한국의 정체성·독자성이라는 측면에서 주로 한글문학의 연구에 중점을 두어왔다. 때문에 근대문학의 한축인 한문학의 중요성이 상대적으로 간과된 것이 현실이다. 근대한문학은 근대성이라는 측면에서 부정적 인식이 엄연히 존재한다. 그러나 근대한문학이 시대로서의 근대를 담고 있는 것은 분명하다. 魚允績은 華西李恒老를 연원으로 하는 省齋柳重敎의 문인이다. 구한말 격변기에 그는 위정척사 사상을 기치로 내건 毅菴柳麟錫(1842~1915)을 비롯한 화서학파의 일원들과지속적인교류와활동을하였다. 1910년, 어윤적은뜻을같이하던이들과함께일본의 식민통치를 거부하고, 만주로 이거하여 화서학파의 일원으로 활동을 이어갔으며, 1933년 異域에서 세상을 마감하였다. 그의 문집인 克齋手稿에는 도학적 사유, 우국 항일 의식, 난세의 지식인의 고뇌, 망명이주민의 삶을 담은작가개인의문학적성취를보여주는 수준 높은다양한주제의한 시뿐만이 아니라 화서학파의 교류와 활동에 관련된 많은 자료까지 포함하고 있다. 본 연구의 대상인 어윤적의 漢詩는 근대시기 유학적 전통을 고수한 실천적 지식인의 수난과 현실 대응의 모습이 반영된 근대한문학의 실상을 잘 보여주는 작품이며, 아울러 만주지역에서 국권회복을 위하여 활동한 전통적 지식인들의 문학적 실상을 파악할 수 있는 자료라는 측면에서 주목할 만한 가치가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to investigate literary achievement of Chinese poems(漢詩) of Geukjae Eo, Yun Juk(克齋魚允績) who has lived intellectual agonies during the turbulent turning point of modern ages for Chinese poems(漢詩) recorded in 『Geukjaesugo(克齋手稿)』. Korean modern literature has focused on studies on Korean literature mainly from an angle of modernity and Korean identity·independence. Therefore, one axis of modern literature, the importance of Chinese literature was ignored relatively. Modern Chinese literature has negative awareness undoubtedly from an angle of modernity. But, modern Chinese literature clearly includes modern times as a period. The object of this research, Eo, Yun Juk s Chinese poems(漢詩) shows how practical intellectuals sticking to Confucian tradition in modern times responded to ordeals and realities. Eo, Yun Juk(魚允績) is a literary person of Sungjae Yu, Jung Gyo(省 齋柳重敎) under the origin of Hwaseo Lee, Hang Ro(華西李恒老). During the rapid changes of the Late Period of Chosun, he continuously exchanged with members of Hwaseo school including Uiam Yu, In Suk (毅菴柳麟錫)(1842~1915) insisting li learning thought. In 1910, Eo, Yun Juk refused Japanese colonization with people whose intention is same as his, moved to Manchuria and conducted as a member of hwaseo school. And then, in 1933, he died at foreign land. His anthology includes Chinese poems of various subjects, that show his literary achievement as well as lots of materials related to world of confucian thought and exchanges and activities of Hwaseo school. Chinese poems of Eo, Yun Juk show actual aspects of modern Chinese literature and his anthology 『Geukjaesugo(克齋手稿)』 is worth noticing as they show actual life of traditional intellectuals who had acted so as to recover national sovereignty in Manchuria area.
