가정과교사의 정체성에 관한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 가정과교사의 정체성과 관련된 질적 연구들을 사회심리학적 접근, 사회문화적 접근, 후기구조주의적 접근, 포스트모던적 접근으로 종합⋅분석하여 가정과교사의 정체성에 대한 새로운 확장적 해석을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 학술연구정보서비스에서 ‘가정과교사’를 키워드로 검색하여 가정과교사의 정체성과 관련된 9편을 선정하여 질적 메타분석을 실시하였다. 연구에서 도출된 주제를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정과교사는 인간에게 봉사하는 사명이 있으며, 학생과 사회에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 존재이고, 행복한 삶을 살 수 있도록 도움을 주는 가정교과를 가르치며, 가정생활의 문제를 해결하는 능력을 키워주는 실천적 문제 중심 수업을 실행하는 존재인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가정과교사들은 가정교과 내용을 의미 있게 재구성하여 가르치고 있으며, 과도한 업무에 소진되고 있지만 이러한 상황에서도 공동체 문화를 형성하면서 교직에 대한 신념과 가치를 키워가고 있었다. 셋째, 가정과교사는 입시 이데올로기로 인해 자긍심이 약화되고 있었으며, 요리를 잘하고 바느질을 잘해야 한다는 이데올로기에 회의를 느끼고, 교육과정 편제를 변화시키는 데 한계가 있다는 점에서 좌절감을 경험하고 있었다. 넷째, 가정과교사들은 각기 다른 경험으로 인해 다른 정체성을 형성하고 있었고, 개인적 정체성과 전문적 정체성이 중첩되어 있었으며, 정체성 변화를 통해 불연속성을 극복하고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to present a new and expanded interpretation of the identity of home economics teachers by synthesizing and analyzing qualitative studies related to the identity of home economics teachers using socio-psychological, socio-cultural, post-structuralism, and post-modern approaches. To achieve the purpose of the study, we searched for ‘home economics teachers' as a keyword in the Research Information Sharing Service, and selected 9 papers related to the identity of home economics teachers, and conducted a qualitative meta-synthesis. The themes derived from the study are summarized as follows. First, home economics teachers are those who have a mission to serve humanity, can influence students and society, teach home economics that help them live happy lives, and practice practical problem-centered classes that foster the ability to solve problems in family life. Second, home economics teachers are meaningfully reconstructing and teaching home economics curriculum content, and although they are exhausted by excessive work, they are forming a community culture and fostering their beliefs and values about the teaching profession even in this situation. Third, home economics teachers' self-esteem is weakening due to the ideology of entrance exams, they are skeptical of the ideology that students must be good at cooking and sewing, and they are experiencing frustration due to the limitations in changing the curriculum organization. Fourth, home economics teachers are forming different identities due to their different experiences, their personal and professional identities overlap, and they are overcoming discontinuity through identity changes.
