미술치료가 ADHD를 동반한 경도지적장애 아동의 불안 및 학교부적응에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 미술치료가 ADHD를 동반한 경도 지적장애 아동의 불안과 학교 부적응 행동 감소에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구대상에게 처치 전 주 양육자인 어머니와 심층 면접을 진행하였으며 2024년 6월부터 8월까지 주 1~2회 30분씩, 총 19회기의 미술치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구도구로 아동․청소년 행동평가척도(K-CBCL), 학교부적응 검사 척도, KSD(학교생활화검사)를 사전․사후 실시하여 미술치료프로그램 과정에서의 아동 행동 변화를 양적․질적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료가 ADHD를 동반한 경도 지적장애 아동의 불안 완화에 유의미한 결과를 도출하였다. 둘째, 미술치료가 ADHD를 동반한 경도 지적장애 아동의 학교부적응 행동 감소에 도움이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 행동 변화로는 초기 학교에 대한 질문에 대답하지 않고 짜증으로 표현하였으나 후기에는 스스로 학교에 대한 이야기를 하고 긍정적인 또래관계에 대한 욕구를 표현하는 모습을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 미술치료가 ADHD를 동반한 경도 지적장애 아동의 심리적 안정감과 학교에 대한 긍정적인 이미지를 가지는 것에 도움을 제공하여 아동의 정서와 행동 변화에 긍정적인 효과를 가져와 학교생활 부적응 행동이 완화되었음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effect of art therapy on the reduction of anxiety and school maladjustment of children with mild intellectual disabilities with ADHD. The study subjects were interviewed in-depth with their mothers, as their main caregivers, before treatment, and 19 art therapy sessions were conducted once to twice a week for 30 minutes from June to August 2024. As research tools, the K-CBCL, the School Adaptation Test Scale, and the KSD (School Life Test) were adopted and conducted before after to quantitatively analyze changes in children's behavior during therapy sessions. The results of this study were as follows. First, the art therapy drew significant results in alleviating anxiety in children with mild intellectual disabilities with ADHD. Second, the art therapy helped them reduce their maladaptive behavior in school. Concerning behavioral changes they expressed irritation without answering questions about early school, but in the latter part, they shared their school life and expressed their desire for positive peer relationships. These results showed that the art therapy helped children with mild intellectual disabilities with ADHD result in a positive effect on their emotional and behavioral changes, and alleviating their maladaptive behavior in school. The significance and limitations of this study were discussed based on these findings.
