실존적 삶의 동행으로의 그림에 대한 자전적 탐구

국문 초록

본 탐구는 연구자 작품 세계의 근원을 존재와 시간의 개념으로 관찰과 분석 안에서 실존적인 삶을 살아가는 한 인간의 존재 의미를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 유화 그림 작업에서 느끼게 되는 그림의 상징과 은유 안에서 연구자인 ‘나’라는 존재의 의미를 발견하게 되면서 존재론적 탐구를 시도하였다. 2013년에서부터 2023년 3월까지의 유화 작품과 개인전 작품을 중심으로 그림과의 심층적인 대화를 시도하면서 실존적 존재의 의미를 찾고자하였다. 결과는 첫째, ‘옛날 옛적에’에서 존재 의미에 대한 물음의 존재는 결국 있음이다. 둘째, ‘보고 싶은 너’는 존재자의 열림을 말한다. 셋째, ‘하얀 눈물 꽃 속 비밀의 정원’은 아버지의 죽음 의미는 존재자의 불안과 함께 은폐를 말한다. 넷째, ‘나의 세계 너의 세계’는 존재자로서 자기 삶을 펼치게 되었다. 다섯째, ‘자유여행’은 실존 가능성을 개시한다는 의미로 선택과 책임을 말한다. 여섯째, ‘새로운 친구’는 존재의 성장과 함께 현존재가 실존의 가능성을 응답하는 것이었다. 일곱째, ‘나는 누구?’는 실존적 삶의 존재로 세상과 함께 할 수 있음과 시간의 연속성으로 존재자의 변화 가능성이 있다. 색과 형태는 나의 존재 의미이며, 그림과 나의 대화는 실존적 존재를 발견하며, 유화물감은 나의 감정과 존재의 보호막을 만들고, 그림과 글쓰기는 나라는 존재의 통합 경험이라는 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This inquiry analyzed the inquirer's artworks on the concepts of existence and time, and to reveal the foundation of art, and the meaning of existing as an ontological human being. The therapy focusing on oil paintings was conducted from 2013 to March 2023, and sought to find the meaning of existence through the process of attempting an in-depth conversation with paintings. As a result of the inquiry, the first encounter with a painting, “Once upon a Time,” represented “existing” as answering the question about the meaning of being. The second painting, “Missing You,” signified the inquirer's openness towards existence. The third painting, “White Tears Flower and Father's Death,” represented the inquirer's existential anxiety and concealment. The fourth painting, “My World, Your World,” revealed the existential life of the inquirer. The fifth painting, “Self Travel,” conveyed the meaning of choice and responsibility as unveiling existential potentiality. The sixth painting, “New Friend,” responded to the ontological probability of the present existence with existential growth. The seventh painting, “Who Am I?” represented that ontological life could exist alongside the world and manifested the possibility of transformative existence through the continuity of time. Based on the research results, the conversation between the painting and the inquirer discovered the existential being, the oil paint created a protective shield of my emotions and existence, and the painting and writing were the integrated experiences of existing, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
