유아교사의 핵심역량에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사들이 인식하고 있는 현재 핵심역량의 수준은 어떠한가를 알아봄으로써 유아교사의 전문성 신장에 도움을 주는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산광역시에 재직 중인 유아교사395명이며, 수집된 자료는 PASW 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아교사 핵심역량 수준 전체 평균은 3.51(SD=.47)로 "보통" 보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 일반적 특성에 따른 유아교사의 핵심역량 수준은 연령, 담당학급연령, 교육경력에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 결론을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 유아교사들은 자신의 수준을 "보통"보다는 높게 인식하고 있었으나 충분한 역량을 갖춘 것으로 보기는 어렵기 때문에 역량 수준을 높이기 위한 체계적인 연수프로그램이 마련되어야 한다. 또한 교사의 일반적 특성에 따라 유아교사의 핵심역량 수준이 다르므로 개별 교사의 수준을 고려한 맞춤형 역량 개발 프로그램이 필요하다. 유아교사의 핵심역량의 수준에 대해 조사한 본 연구는 교사 양성, 교사 교육, 교사 평가, 교사 임용 등과 연계하여 다양하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to be helpful for improving early childhood teacher's professionalism by examining the current standard of core competency that childhood teachers recognize. The subject of this research was 395 early childhood teachers who are working in Busan. The data were analyzed by Statistics Program, PASW 18.0. The results of this reserch are summed as follows. The first, the general average of early childhood teacher's core competency was 3.51(SD=.47) which is higher than 'common' The second, The standard of early childhood teacher's core competency by general characteristics showed significant differences by age, class age and educational career. Based on these results, the following conclusions are presented. children teachers recognized their standard as more than 'common', but it's difficult to consider they have sufficient competency. Therefore, systematic training program must be prepared for improving the standard of competency. Also, the standard of early childhood teacher's core competency is different by teacher's general characteristics. Therefore competency developing program customized to the standard of individual teacher must be developed. This research which studied on the standard of early childhood teacher's core competency will be utilized variously in relation to teacher cultivation, teacher education, teacher evaluation, teacher recruitment, etc.
