국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 균형적 언어 접근법이 유아의 쓰기태도 및 쓰기능력에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 만 5세 유아 40명을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 활동에 참여하였다. 10주 동안 그림책을 활용한 균형적 언어 접근법을 활동을 실시하였다. 이후 실험집단과 통제집단간의 사전·사후결과를 바탕으로 유아의 쓰기 태도에 대한 빈도와 백분율을x² 검증을 실시하였으며, 유아의 쓰기능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 SPSS/WIN 18.0 Program에서 독립표본 t-test를 실험집단과 통제집단간의 사전·사후 검사 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아의 쓰기태도에서 쓰기목적에 대한 인식에는 변화가 없었으나 쓰기동기와 쓰기과정에서 실험집단에게 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 쓰기능력에서는 실험집단이 전반적인 쓰기능력과 더불어 하위요소인 선수기능, 표기능력, 어휘구사력, 문장구사력, 글 구성력에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 그림책을 활용한 균형적 언어 접근법 활동은 유아의 쓰기태도 및 쓰기능력에 대하여 바람직한 발달을 도울 수 있는 대안이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of balanced language approach of picture books on young children’s writing attitude and writing ability. The participants of this study were 40 children aged 5-year-old in two day care centers with similar socio-economic background in Seoul. 20 experimental group children participated in balanced language approach for 10 weeks and 20 control group children followed their daily routine based on the Nuri curriculum. The experimental group read picture books related to Nuri curriculum themes and practiced balance language approach in collaboration with their daily daycare center routine. Frequency, percentage, X² test, t-test were used to analyzed the data. First, in the writing attitude, balanced language approach with picture books showed no positive effects on the writing purpose, but showed positive effects on writing motivation and writing-process. Second, balanced language approach influenced positively on the children's writing skill. All the sub-elements of writing ability, -pre-wiring skills, learning ability, notational skills, word fluency, sentence fluency, writing organization, a was improved positively on the young children's writing skill. They also provided basic knowledge of young children’s writing ability which will help further study in development of balanced language programs.
