국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육과에 개설된 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 운영 시 교수자의 역할을 중점적으로 탐색하여 유아교육과에 적합한 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 운영을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2022년도 3월부터 6월까지 경기도 D대학의 유아교육과 3학년 31명을 대상으로 개설된 캡스톤 디자인 교과목을 15주간 7단계로 구성하여 적용하였다. 캡스톤 디자인 교과목에서 유아교육과 학생들은 메타버스를 활용한 유아 비대면 교육공간 개발, 지속가능발전을 위한 환경보호 무장애 그림책 출판, 증강현실(AR)을 활용한 소아비만 예방 그림책 출판의 최종 결과물이 도출되었다. 이 과정에서 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 운영 시 교수자의 역할을 중점적으로 수업운영 프로세스를 모색하고 탐색하였다. 본 연구 결과, 유아교육과 캡스톤 디자인 수업운영에서의 교수자의 역할은 수업 7단계에 따른 20개의 과정으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아교육과 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 수업운영 사례를 통해 교수자의 수업운영 역할을 제안하였다는 시사점을 가지며, 향후 유아교육과의 캡스톤 디자인 교과운영이 활성화되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the role of instructors in operating the capstone design course in the Department of Early Childhood Education, with a focus on proposing an effective operation of the capstone design course suitable for the Department of Early Childhood Education. To this end, the capstone design course was implemented over 15 weeks, from March to June 2022, targeting 31 third-year students in the Department of Early Childhood Education at University A in Gyeonggi Province. The course was structured into seven stages. In the capstone design course, students in the Department of Early Childhood Education produced final outcomes such as the development of a virtual space for early childhood education using the metaverse, the publication of inclusive picture books for environmental protection and sustainable development, and the publication of picture books for preventing childhood obesity using augmented reality (AR). Throughout this process, the study focused on exploring and investigating the role of instructors in the operation of the capstone design course. The results of this study revealed that the role of instructors in course operation was identified through 20 processes corresponding to the seven stages of each class. This study suggests implications by proposing the role of instructors in the operation of the capstone design course in the Department of Early Childhood Education through a case study. The expectation is that the operation of capstone design courses in the Department of Early Childhood Education will be activated in the future.
