아동의 스토리텔링 역량 개발을 위한 단원 개발 탐구: Lauritzen과 Jaeger의 내러티브 교육과정을 중심으로

국문 초록

아동교육에서의 목표는 단순한 흥미 위주의 학습이 아니라 아동 자신의 삶과 연계된 학습경험을 통해 자기주도적이며 문제해결력 등의 창의적 사고를 갖춘 역량 함양에 초점을 두어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 스토리텔링 역량의 역할과 가치를 탐색하고, 이를 개발하기 위해 교육과정 설계 방식을 제안하는데 목적이있다. 연구방법은 스토리텔링 역량과 내러티브에 대한 문헌연구와 사례연구방법을 활용하였다. 특히, 내러티브를 활용한 사례와 스토리텔링을 활용한 사례를 통해 분석하고 종합하여 내러티브 교육과정 설계안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구 결과, 스토리텔링 역량을 함양하기 위한 교육과정 설계 방식으로 Lauritzen과 Jaeger의 내러티브 교육과정에 주목하였다. 먼저 Lauritzen과 Jaeger의 내러티브 교육과정 단계인 맥락-탐구 질문–목표 필터-탐구 조사-완성 및 정리에 대해 분석하였다. 그 후, 이 모형의 절차를 적용하여 2019 개정 누리과정 중 의사소통 영역과 사회관계 영역에 초점을 맞추어 ‘화목한 우리 가족’ 단원을 개발하였으며 템플릿으로 구현하였다. 본 연구의 모형은 5단계로이루어지며문학적 내러티브를 활용하였다. 일련의 모든 과정에서 교사와 학생의의사소통 도구로 내러티브를 활용해야 하며 수업 상황에서 담론 형태의 내러티브가 활용되어야 한다. 결국, 구성주의적 관점에서 내러티브를 접근해야 하며 이를 통해 아동의 스토리텔링 역량 함양이 가능하다.

영문 초록

In children's education, the focus should be on fostering self-directed and creative thinking skills such as problem-solving through learning experiences that are relevant to the child's own life, rather than just interest-based learning. To this end, the purpose of this study was to explore the role and value of storytelling competence and propose a curriculum design approach to develop it. As a research method, a literature review and case study on storytelling competence and narrative were analyzed. In particular, this study analyzed and synthesized narrative and storytelling case studies to propose a narrative curriculum design. As a result, this study focused on Lauritzen and Jaeger's narrative curriculum as a curriculum design method to foster storytelling competence. First, we analyzed Lauritzen and Jaeger's narrative curriculum stages: context-exploratory question-goal filter-exploratory investigation-completion and organization. Then, the procedures of the model were applied to develop and implement the unit 'Our Harmonious Family' in the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum, focusing on communication and social relations, as a template. The model of this study consists of five stages and utilizes literary narratives. Throughout the whole process, narrative should be utilized as a communication tool between teachers and students, and narrative in the form of discourse should be utilized in classroom situations. In the end, narrative should be approached from a constructivist perspective, and storytelling competence should be fostered.
