국문 초록

본 연구는 스페인어권 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 담화 기능에서 핵심적 역할을 하는 조사 ‘은/는’과 ‘이/가’의 습득과 인식을 고찰하였다. 한국어 학습자들은 해당 조사의 의미적 기능을 정확히 구분하는 데 지속적인 어려움을 겪는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 학습자의 숙달도, 학습 기간, 학습 환경에 따라 조사의 사용 양상과 인식 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구 방법으로는 초급, 중·고급 학습자 및 원어민 화자를 포함한 81명을 대상으로 문법성 판단 과제를 실시하였다. R Studio를 활용한 분석 결과, 원어민과 비원어민 집단 간에는 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 숙달도가 높아질수록 정확성이 향상되었으나 총칭성(은/는)과 배타성(이/가)에서는 오류가 지속되었다. 또한 다수의 학습자가 명시적 문법 지식보다는 직관에 의존하여 조사를 사용함으로써 오류가 빈번하게 발생함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 스페인 한국어 학습자의 ‘은/는’과 ‘이/가’ 습득 및 인식에 있어서 구조적 어려움과 오해가 존재함을 보여주며, 담화 중심의 명시적 교수법이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the acquisition and learners’ perception of the Korean particles ‘-eun/neun’ and ‘-i/ga’ by Spanish-speaking learners of Korean. Additionally, it examines how proficiency level, study duration, and context of learning influence learners’ accuracy in the use of these particles. A grammaticality judgment test was conducted with 81 participants (beginners, intermediate-advanced learners, and native speakers). Results analyzed using R Studio revealed that overall, Spanish learners do not reach native-like use. While higher proficiency learners demonstrated some improvement, errors persisted, particularly in generalization (‘-eun/neun’) and exclusivity (‘-i/ga’). Spanish learners relied on intuition rather than explicit grammatical knowledge, leading to frequent errors caused by a misassignment or overgeneralization of rules, arbitrary use and incomplete understanding. These findings provide empirical evidence on how Spanish-speaking learners acquire and perceive these particles and highlight the need for discourse-level, explicit instruction.
