국문 초록

본 연구는 한 살 자녀를 둔 가구의 어머니 및 가구 특성이 육아지원정책 선호에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것으로, 선호하는 보육 방식과 지원 유형을 중심으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 한국 영유아 교육·보육 패널 데이터중 2,499개의 가구 데이터를 활용하여 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 적용하여 어머니 및 가구 특성이 육아지원정책 선호 유형에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면 어머니의 학력, 연령, 취업 상태, 가구 소득 수준, 양육신념과 배우자의 양육 참여는 정책 선호에 있어 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 육아지원정책 선호도는 단일 요인에 의해 결정되는 것이 아니라 여러 부모 및 가구 특성의 상호작용에 의해 형성된다. 다양한 변수의 조합은 제도적 지원, 현금 급여 또는 재가 돌봄 정책에 대한 선호도와 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 사회경제적 여건뿐만 아니라 양육 신념과 같은 심리적 요인에 대한 종합적인 이해를 바탕으로 보육 정책을 설계해야 하며, 다양한 가정의 요구에 맞춘 차별화되고 통합적인 정책 접근의 필요성을 강조한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes how maternal and household characteristics influence childcare policy preferences in households with one-year-old children, focusing on both preferred childcare modes and support types. Using 2,499 household data from the Korean Early Childhood Education and Care Panel, this study applied multinomial logistic regression analysis to examine the effects of maternal and household determinants on types of childcare policy preference. According to the results, mothers’ education, age, employment status, household income, parenting beliefs, and spouse’s parenting participation were important variables in policy preference. The results show that childcare policy preferences are not determined by a single factor, but are shaped by the interaction of multiple maternal and household characteristics. Distinct combinations of variables were associated with preferences for institutional support, cash benefits, or home-based care policies. The findings suggest that childcare policies should be designed based on a comprehensive understanding of not only socioeconomic conditions but also psychological factors such as parenting beliefs, emphasizing the need for differentiated and integrated policy approaches tailored to the needs of diverse families.
