국문 초록

본 연구는 외국인 학생들의 대학 교육만족도를 체계적으로 평가할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 외국인 유학생의 교육 경험은 대학의 국제화 수준과 교육 품질관리의 핵심 지표로 간주된다. 그러나 한국의 고등교육 체제와 문화적·행정적 특수성을 반영한 체계적 만족도 평가 척도는 여전히 부족하다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 ‘교육의 질’, ‘행정서비스’, ‘학습환경’이라는 세 가지 주요 요인을 중심으로 외국인 학생의 요구와 경험을 반영한 교육만족도 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 연구는 문헌연구와 심층 면담을 통해 초기문항을 도출하고, 델파이 기법을 활용하여 전문가 의견을 수렴하였다. 이후 탐색적 요인분석(EFA)과 확인적 요인분석(CFA)을 통해 척도의 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 척도는 3대 요인, 12개의 하위요인으로 구성하고, 총 50개의 문항을 개발했다. 주요 하위요인으로는 교육의 질에서 강의 내용의 충실성, 교수의 전문성, 학습 자료 접근성이, 행정서비스에서 비자 발급 지원, 입학 절차 간소화, 재정 및 주거 지원을 포함했다. 학습환경에서는 도서관과 실험실의 접근성, 문화적 다양성을 존중하는 캠퍼스 분위기가 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 본 척도는 신뢰도(Cronbach α=.87)와 구조적 타당성(CFI=.92, RMSEA=.031)을 입증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 척도는 한국 대학의 외국인 학생지원 및 교육 서비스 개선을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 대학의 국제화 전략 수립에 실질적으로 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 나아가, 이 척도는 다양한 국가와 학문 분야에서 확장 가능성을 검증하기 위한 추가연구의 기초가 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop a scale to systematically assess the university education satisfaction of international students. The educational experiences of international students are considered key indicators of a university’s level of internationalization and the quality of its educational management. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive satisfaction assessment tools that reflect the unique characteristics of Korea’s higher education system and its cultural and administrative context. To address this gap, the study focused on three main factors—Quality of Education, Administrative Services, and Learning Environment—to develop a satisfaction scale that reflects the needs and experiences of international students. Initial items were derived through a literature review and in-depth interviews, and expert feedback was collected using the Delphi method. The validity and reliability of the scale were verified through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). As a result, the final scale consisted of 3 major factors, 12 sub-factors, and a total of 50 items. Key sub-factors included lecture content quality, faculty expertise, and access to learning materials under Quality of Education; visa issuance support, streamlined admission procedures, and financial and housing support under Administrative Services; and accessibility to libraries and laboratories, as well as a culturally inclusive campus atmosphere under Learning Environment. The scale demonstrated high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.87) and strong structural validity (CFI = 0.92, RMSEA = 0.031). The developed scale can serve as a foundational tool for improving support systems and educational services for international students in Korean universities and is expected to make a practical contribution to the formulation of internationalization strategies. Furthermore, it lays the groundwork for future studies to verify the applicability of the scale across different countries and academic fields.
