국문 초록

본 연구는 2025년 첫 한일정상회담에 대한 유튜브 뉴스 영상의 온라인 댓글을 분석 대상으로, 해당 댓글에서 나타나는 정당화 전략 유형을 분석하고 이를 한·일 간 비교하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 본 연구는 정당화 전략 유형을 도덕성 정당화, 피해자 프레임 전략, 정치 전략 프레임, 비교 정당화 전략, 감정 호소 전략, 목적 지향 정당화 전략 여섯 가지로 분류하여 분석하였으며 텍스트 마이닝 기법인 워드클라우드 시각화를 통하여, 뉴스 영상을 기반으로 한 댓글을 분석하였다. 또한, 통계적 유의성 검증을 위하여 카이제곱검정과 일표본 t검정을 실시하여, 유의미한 차이를 확인하였다. 특히 감정 호소 전략(t=47.509), 정치 전략 프레임(t=36.105), 도덕성 정당화 전략(t=32.660)에서 한국어 댓글이 현저히 높은 비율로 나타났으며, 이는 한국 담화에서 정서적 호소와 정치적 정당화가 강하게 작용하고 있음을 시사한다. 반면 일본어 댓글에서는 목적 지향 정당화 전략과 도덕성 정당화 전략의 비중이 상대적으로 높게 나타나, 실용성과 합리성 중심의 담화전략이 두드러지는 경향을 보였다. 아울러 각 전략 유형에 포함되는 대표 키워드를 추출하고 워드클라우드를 시각화함으로써, 언어별 전략적 특징을 명확하게 파악할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과는 한일 양국의 정치 담화가 정당화 전략 선택에서 언어적·문화적으로 뚜렷한 차이를 보인다는 점을 실증적으로 보여준다. 본 연구는 온라인 담론 자료에 대한 텍스트 마이닝과 정량적 분석을 접목함으로써, 온라인 담론 공간에서 드러나는 한일 관계의 상호작용 양상을 이해하는 데 동아시아 정치 커뮤니케이션 연구의 방법론을 확장하는 데 기여하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study examines the types of justification strategies employed in online comments on YouTube news videos covering the first South Korea-Japan summit of 2025, and compares their distribution between Korean- and Japanese-language comments. We classified justification strategies into six categories—moral justification, victim-frame strategy, political-strategy frame, comparative justification, emotional appeal, and goal-oriented justification—and applied text-mining (word-cloud) visualization to illustrate the salient keywords associated with each category. To assess statistical significance, we conducted one-sample t-tests on strategy frequencies. Korean comments showed markedly higher rates of emotional appeal (t = 47.509), political-strategy framing (t = 36.105), and moral justification (t = 32.660), suggesting that affective rhetoric and political legitimation are particularly powerful in Korean online discourse. By contrast, Japanese comments disproportionately employed goal-oriented justification and moral justification strategies, reflecting a discourse style focused on pragmatism and rationality. Keyword extraction and word-cloud visualizations further clarified these linguistic patterns. These findings provide empirical evidence of clear linguistic and cultural divergences in justification-strategy choices between South Korean and Japanese political discourse. By integrating online discourse analysis with text-mining and quantitative methods, this study expands the methodological toolkit for East Asian political-communication research and deepens our understanding of how digital publics negotiate bilateral relations in real time.
