국문 초록

본 연구는 AI 기반 생성디자인에서 감성 어포던스가 사용자의 경험에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 감성 어포던스와 인지적 안락감, 자아 성취감 간의 상관관계를 규명하고, 이를 토대로 생성디자인의 감성 중심적 설계 지침을 제시하고자 한다. 연구 방법은 웹 기반 크롤링을 통해 1,500여 건의 의자 디자인 사례를 수집한 뒤, 선별 과정을 거쳐 대표 사례 5가지를 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 분석 절차는 정성적 사례 분석과 더불어 101명의 응답자를 대상으로 한 온라인 설문조사와 통계 분석(독립표본 t-검정, 일원분산분석, 회귀분석)을 병행하였다. 연구 결과, 사례별 감성 어포던스는 인지적 안락감과 자아 성취감에 유의한 차별성을 보였으며, 특히 Betula Chair와 Elbo Chair는 두 요인 모두에서 긍정적 평가를 받았다. 반면 Solid C2 Chair는 구조적 복잡성으로 인해 부정적 평가가 두드러졌다. 또한 연령과 성별에 따라 감성 어포던스의 인식 차이가 일부 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 생성디자인에서 감성 어포던스가 단순한 시각적 선호를 넘어, 사용자의 정체성 형성과 정서적 안정감을 설명하는 핵심 요인임을 시사한다. 향후 연구에서는 분석 범위를 다양한 산업디자인으로 확장하고, 생체신호 기반 측정 등 객관적 지표를 활용하여 감성 중심 AI 디자인 시스템의 발전 가능성을 모색할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore how emotional affordances impact user experience in AI-based generative design. Specifically, we investigate the correlation between emotional affordances, cognitive comfort, and self-fulfillment, and based on this, propose guidelines for emotion-centered generative design. We collected approximately 1,500 chair design cases through web crawling. After a screening process with experts, five representative cases were selected for analysis. The analysis involved qualitative case analysis, an online survey of 101 respondents, and statistical analysis (independent-samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis). The results revealed that emotional affordances across cases significantly impacted cognitive comfort and self-fulfillment. The Betula Chair and Elbo Chair received positive evaluations on both factors. In contrast, the Solid C2 Chair received significantly negative evaluations due to its structural complexity. Furthermore, we identified some differences in the perception of emotional affordances across age and gender. These results suggest that emotional affordances in generative design go beyond simple visual preferences and are a key factor in explaining user identity formation and emotional stability. Future research should expand the scope of analysis to encompass diverse industrial designs and explore the potential of developing emotion-centered AI design systems by utilizing objective indicators, such as biosignal-based measurements.
