국문 초록

본 연구는 디지털 콘텐츠 기반의 영어 강세 중심 발음 학습이 대학생의 듣기 능력과 자기 효능감에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 연구는 2024년 9월부터 12월까지 H대학교 교양 영어 수강생 150명을 대상으로 진행되었으며, 참여자는 실험집단(75명)과 통제집단(75명)으로 무작위 배정되었다. 실험집단은 디지털 콘텐츠를 활용한 발음 학습 모듈을 적용받았고, 통제집단은 기존 수업 방식에 따라 학습하였다. 듣기 능력은 맥락 이해, 세부정보 인지, 듣기 속도, 종합 이해도의 네 가지 하위 항목으로 구성되었으며, 사전·사후 검사를 통해 학습 효과를 비교하였다. 그 결과, 실험집단은 모든 항목에서 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였으며 (p < .01), 자기 효능감 평가에서도 유의미한 상승을 나타냈다 (p < .01). 이는 디지털 기반 발음 콘텐츠가 학습자의 청해 능력뿐만 아니라 학습 자신감 증진에도 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 시사한다. 본 연구는 콘텐츠 기반 발음 교육의 실용성과 확장 가능성을 제안하며, 향후 다양한 교육 환경과 학습자 집단을 고려한 후속 연구의 필요성을 강조한다.

영문 초록

This study empirically investigates the effects of a digital content-based English stress-focused pronunciation program on university students’ listening comprehension and self-efficacy. The research was conducted over a 15-week period from September to December 2024 with 150 undergraduate students enrolled in a general English course at H University. Participants were divided into an experimental group (n = 75), which engaged with digital pronunciation modules, and a control group (n = 75), which received instruction through conventional methods. Listening ability was measured across four subdomains: contextual comprehension, detailed information recognition, listening speed, and overall understanding. Pre- and post-tests were administered to examine performance changes. The experimental group demonstrated statistically significant improvements in all listening areas (p < .01), along with a significant increase in self-efficacy scores (p < .01). These findings suggest that digital pronunciation content not only enhances learners’ auditory comprehension but also fosters greater confidence in their language learning abilities. The study highlights the pedagogical value and potential scalability of pronunciation education that integrates digital content, and calls for future research exploring its long-term effects and adaptability in diverse educational settings.
