치위생학과 학생과 치과위생사의 감염관리 표준주의 인식과 실천

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 치위생(학)과 학생과 치과위생사를 대상으로 감염관리 표준주의에 대한 인식과 실천을 분석하여 감염관리 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 2024년 5월 14일부터 6월 2일까지 치위생(학)과 재학 중인학생과 치과위생사를 대상으로 감염관리 표준주의 인식과 실천을 온라인 설문조사 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA)을 이용하여 기술통계 분석 및 t-test 분석하였다. 집단별 표준주의 실천도 분석 결과, 치위생(학)과 학생이 손 위생, 날카로운 기구의 안전한 관리, 안전한 주사 방법. 멸균 기구와 장비, 표면관리 5개 영역 인식과 실천 평균이 치과위생사보다 높게 나타났다. 감염관리 교육 여부에 따른 실천도 분석 결과 치위생(학)과 학생, 치과위생사 모두 교육을 이수한 집단이 미이수 집단보다 높게 나타났다. 또한 감염관리 교육 여부에 따른 두 집단의 항목별 실천도 평균값을 비교하였을 때 치과위생사가 학생보다 높게 나타났다. 임상실습 중 학생 관점 감염 문제 분석 결과 표면관리, 개인보호구 착용은 잘 수행되지 않는다고 인식되어, 치과위생사 개인보호구 착용 인식과 차이가 있었다. 결론적으로 학생 실습시감염관리 문제점과 현직 치과위생사의 실천에 차이가 있는 바 치위생(학)과 학생, 치과위생사 모두 감염관리에 대한 교육 및 주기적 감염관리 자체평가를 통해 의료진 및 환자안전을 도모할 필요가 있었다.

영문 초록

This study compared and analyzed the awareness and practice of infection control standard precautions among dental hygiene students and dental hygienists. From May 14 to June 2, 2024, an online survey was conducted on the awareness and practice of infection control standard precautions among dental hygiene students and dental hygienists. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-tests using SPSS 22.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA). As a result of the analysis of the standard precaution practice by group, the average awareness and practice of five areas (hand hygiene, safe management of sharp instruments, safe injection methods, sterilization of instruments and equipment, and surface management) were higher among dental hygiene students than among dental hygienists. As a result of the analysis of the practice according to infection control education, the group that completed the education was higher than the group that did not complete the education. In addition, when the average values of the practice of each item of the two groups according to infection control education were compared, the difference was higher among dental hygienists than among students. During the clinical practice, the students analyzed the problems of the institution and recognized that surface management, especially wearing personal protective equipment, was not being performed well, which was different from the perception of wearing personal protective equipment evaluated by dental hygienists themselves. In conclusion, both dental hygiene students and dental hygienists need to have an accurate understanding of infection control, and as the students recognized the problems through the survey, dental medical institutions also need to establish an infection control week to periodically find and improve problems within the institution so that all patients using the medical institution can receive safe treatment and work.
