국문 초록

이 연구는 중·장년층 1인가구의 미충족 의료경험에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2023년 지역사회건강조사 데이터를 활용하였으며, 중·장년층 1인가구 12,892명에 대하여 분석을 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성, 건강 관련 특성과 미충족 의료경험의 연관성을 비교하기 위해 카이제곱 검정(chi-square test)을 실시하였고, 사회자본과 미충족 의료경험과의 연관성을 비교하기 위해 독립표본 t-검정(independent t-test)을 실시하였으며, 미충족 의료경험의 영향요인을 규명하기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석(logistic regression)을 실시하였다. 연구결과 성별, 연령, 직업, 가구소득(월), 주관적 건강상태, 주관적 스트레스, 우울감, 네트워크가 미충족 의료경험에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 사회적으로 중요한 문제인 중·장년층 1인가구의 의료 접근성 문제를 유형에 따라 관련 요인을 파악함으로써 유형별로 적합한 해결 방안 마련뿐만 아니라 정책적 대안과 사회 서비스 제공의 근거를 마련하는 데 유용하게 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the factors affecting unmet medical needs among middle-aged and older adults living alone. Data from the 2023 Community Health Survey were used, and analysis was conducted on 12,892 individuals in this demographic. A chi-square test was used to compare the associations between general characteristics, health-related traits, and unmet medical needs. An independent t-test was employed to analyze the relationship between social capital and unmet medical needs. Additionally, a binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors influencing of unmet medical needs. The results showed that gender, age, occupation, household income (monthly), subjective health status, perceived stress, feelings of depression, and social networks were significant factors influencing unmet medical needs, with statistically significant differences observed. These findings are meaningful in that they help identify type-specific factors related to healthcare accessibility issues—a socially important problem—among middle-aged and older adults living alone. Consequently, the results can be effectively utilized not only to develop suitable type-specific interventions but also to provide a foundation for policy alternatives and the provision of social services.
