물류기업의 드론배송 서비스 도입 장애 요인 분석과 상용화 방안 연구

국문 초록

드론배송 서비스는 차세대 물류 시스템으로 주목받고 있으나, 국내 물류기업의 실제 도입 수준은 아직 초기 단계에 머물러 있다. 본 연구는 물류기업의 관점에서 드론배송 서비스 도입을 저해하는 주요 요인을 규명하고, 상용화를 위한 실천적 대응 방안을도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 드론, 물류, 유통, 정책 등 관련 분야의 전문가 23인을 대상으로 2차례의 델파이 조사를 실시하였다. 1차 개방형 설문을 통해 총 35개의 장애 요인을 도출하였고, 이를 제도적, 경제적, 기술적, 사회적, 윤리적 범주로 분류하였다. 2차 구조화 조사에서는 각 항목의 중요도를 5점 척도로 평가하고, 평균, 표준편차, 변동계수(CV)를 통해 전문가 간 합의 수준을정량적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 드론 배송 수익 모델 미확립, 비즈니스 연계 부족, 드론 배송비 현실화 필요, 높은 운영비용, 비가시권 비행 제한, 기체 성능 한계 등이 핵심적 장애 요인으로 나타났다. 크론바흐 알파(Cronbach’s α) 검증을 통해 전문가 응답 간의 내적 일관성이 수용 가능한 수준임을 확인하였다. 이에 대응하여 각 문제 유형에 상응하는 해결방안을 정성적으로 제시하고, 중요도가 높은 장애 요인에 대응하는 방식으로 우선순위를 매칭하였다. 본 연구는 공급자인 물류기업의 시각에서 드론배송 서비스의 도입 문제를 구조화된 방식으로 분석하였다는 점에서 학술적 의의가 있으며 정책 및 실무 차원의 대응 전략을 제시하였다는 점에서 실무적 기여가 있다. 다만, 전문가 의견에 기반한 정성적 조사라는 한계를 지니므로, 향후 수요자 관점 분석과 우선순위 기반의 정량 연구로 확장할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

While drone delivery services are emerging as a next-generation logistics system, the actual adoption level among logistics companies in South Korea remains in its early stages. This study aims to identify key barriers hindering the adoption of drone delivery services from the perspective of logistics companies and to derive practical strategies for commercialization. To achieve this, two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted with 23 experts in related fields such as drones, logistics, distribution, and policy. The first open-ended survey identified 35 barrier factors, which were categorized into five domains: institutional, economic, technological, social, and ethical. In the second structured survey, each factor was evaluated on a 5-point Likert scale for its importance. The results were quantitatively analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation (CV) to assess the level of consensus among experts. Key barriers identified included the absence of a sustainable revenue model, lack of business integration, need for realistic pricing, performance limitations of drones, high operating costs, and restrictions on beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights. Internal consistency of expert responses was verified through Cronbach's alpha, confirming an acceptable level of reliability. In response, qualitative solutions were proposed for each category of barrier, and priorities were matched based on the relative importance of each issue. This study contributes academically by systematically analyzing the challenges of drone delivery adoption from the supply-side perspective of logistics companies and offers practical insights by presenting policy and operational strategies. However, the study is limited by its reliance on qualitative expert opinions. Future research should expand to include demand-side perspectives and quantitative prioritization analyses.
