국문 초록

Objectives: This study was conducted to determine whether elderly people who eat with others, or the household types in which they reside, have an effect on their oral health screening rates. Methods: The 9th data of the National Health and Nutrition Survey (2022-2023) were used. Subjects were aged 65 or older. A total of 3,137 people were selected for analysis. Results: Among those who live alone, the survey revealed that oral health screening rates for those who eat their meals with others is 2.16 times greater (95% CI: 1.30-3.59) than for those people who eat their meals alone. Conclusions: It is necessary to revitalize leisure programs for older people who live alone, so that they do not become socially isolated. This will also help to develop measures to that promote regular oral health screenings and the use of oral healthcare programs.
