국문 초록

Objectives: We intend to use this study’s results as basic data for developing measures to increase dental hygiene students’satisfaction with clinical practice and their professional pride as dental hygienists. Methods: Data were collected between March 22 and April 5, 2024, and the final analysis was applied to 171 people. Results: Factors affecting dental hygiene students satisfaction with clinical practice were age and infection control awareness; the explanatory power was 32.9%. Conclusions: We determined that, if one indirectly experiences the work of a dental hygienist who is in charge of dental infection control as a part of one’s clinical training, the awareness of and practices related to infection control will likely improve. This also typically leads to an enhancement of professional pride in being a dental hygienist.
