국문 초록

Objectives: To determine the impact of self-efficacy on the problem-solving competency of dental hygiene students. Methods: The study included students attending dental hygiene departments in some areas of Daegu and Busan. Results: A correlation between self-efficacy and problem-solving competency of dental hygiene students was observed. In addition, opinion integration and opinion evaluation, which are sub-factor items of self-efficacy, had an impact on problem-solving competency. Conclusions: Self-efficacy significantly influenced the problem-solving competency of dental hygiene students, with opinion integration and evaluation as key factors. This finding suggests the need for educational approaches that can enhance self-efficacy to effectively improve the students’ problem-solving competency
