비와 비율 개념에 대한 초등 수학 교과서 비교 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라, 싱가포르, 일본의 초등학교 수학 교과서에서 비와 비율 개념이 어떻게 다루어지는지 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한 양을 단위화하는 과정을 통해 비의 의미를 다루는지, 측정공간 내 및 측정공간 간 동치관계를 어떻게 다루는지를 다중묶음관점 및 변동부분관점에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 한 양을 단위화하여 다른 양을 나타내는 과정 및 배(倍)의 의미 강조, 변동부분관점의 도입, 두 관점을 이용한 측정공간 내 동치관계의 지도, 변동부분관점을 활용한 측정공간 간 동치관계의 지도, 외적비 맥락에서의 비율 개념 지도 방안의 재구성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze how the concepts of ratio and rate are addressed in elementary mathematics textbooks from South Korea, Singapore, and Japan. To this end, the study examines how the meaning of ratio is treated through the process of unitizing a quantity, and how equivalent relations are addressed both within and between measure spaces, from the perspectives of multiple-batches and variable-parts. Based on the results of the analysis, the study suggests improvements including: emphasizing the process of unitizing one quantity to represent another and highlighting the meaning of “times” or multiples; introducing the variable-parts perspective; teaching equivalent relationships within measure spaces using both perspectives; teaching equivalent relationships between measure spaces using the variable-parts perspective; and restructuring instructional approaches to the concept of rate in the context of external ratio.
