잠재프로파일 분석을 활용한 초등학교 고학년 학생 대상 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 유형화 및 관련 변인 차이 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생의 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 척도을 유형화하고, 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력유형별 관련 변인 차이를 구명하는 데 있다. 수도권 및 비수도권 초등학교 5, 6학년에 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 온라인설문조사를 실시하여 그중 333개의 유효한 설문지를 자료 분석에 활용하였다. 이 연구에서 설정한 연구 목적을 달성하고자 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 유형화를 위한 분석으로 MPlus 8.0을 활용하여 잠재프로파일분석을 실시하였으며, 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 유형별 관련 변인 간 차이를 구명하기 위해 SPSS 26.0을 활용하여 공분산분석 및Bonferroni 사후 분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 단계를 통해 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 잠재프로파일분석 결과, 초등학교 고학년 학생의 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 잠재 집단 개수는 3개가 가장 적합한 것으로 판단하였으며, 각각의 잠재 집단을 ‘낮은 무기력형(36.0 %)’, ‘중간 균형 결손형(62.2 %)’, ‘높은 인지정서 결손형(1.8 %)’으로명명하였다. 둘째, 초등학교 고학년 학생의 학교 상황에서의 학습된 무기력 유형별 관련 변인에 차이가 있는지 확인하기위해 공분산분석을 실시한 결과, 유형별 자기효능감, 교사지지, 진로포부에서 차이가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유형별 관련 변인 평균 차이를 확인하기 위해 Bonferroni 사후검증 결과, 자기효능감, 교사지지, 진로포부 모두 각각 ‘낮은 무기력형’의 평균이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 다른 두 유형 간 평균 차이는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 초등학교 고학년 학생들이 학교에서의 실패 경험을 통제 가능한 것으로 인식할 수 있도록 각 유형에 따라현장에서 적용할 수 있는 실천적 제언을 제시하였으며 이는 초등 고학년의 학습된 무기력 유형화 및 유형별 맞춤 개입에대한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to classify types of learned helplessness in school contexts among upper-grade elementary students and to examine differences in related variables across these types. An online survey was administered to fifth‑ and sixth‑grade students attending metropolitan and non‑metropolitan elementary schools, yielding 333 valid responses for analysis. To achieve the research objectives, latent profile analysis was conducted with MPlus 8.0 to identify learned‑helplessness profiles in school settings, and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) with Bonferroni post hoc tests was performed in SPSS 26.0 to investigate differences in related variables across the identified profiles. The results were as follows: First, based on the latent profile analysis results, a three‑profile solution was judged most appropriate for the number of latent learned‑helplessness groups in school contexts among upper‑grade elementary students; the profiles were named “Low Helplessness” (36.0 %), “Moderate Balanced Deficit” (62.2 %), and “High Cognitive‑Emotional Deficit” (1.8 %). Second, to examine whether there were differences in related variables across learned‑helplessness profiles in school contexts among upper‑grade elementary students, an analysis of covariance was conducted, which revealed significant profile differences in self‑efficacy, perceived teacher support, and career aspirations. Moreover, Bonferroni post hoc tests of mean differences showed that the “Low Helplessness” profile had the highest means for self‑efficacy, teacher support, and career aspirations, while no significant mean differences were found between the other two profiles. Based on these findings, this study provides suggestions for application tailored to each type of learned helpless, helping upper-grade elementary students perceive academic failure as a controllable experience. These suggestions offer foundational data for developing profile‑tailored interventions to address learned helplessness among upper‑grade elementary students.
