국문 초록

This article examines the cause and reason sentences in Korean from the perspective of “subject/object logic” and the framework that subordinate complex sentences are systematic and structural in terms of causality and taxis. First of all, ‘하기 때문에’ refers to a cause sentence that is related to an objective description while following ‘object logic’, while ‘하니까’ creates a reason sentence that is the speaker’s active attitude through ‘subject logic’. In contrast to the Japanese words “NODE” and “KARA” respectively. Next, ‘하기 때문에’ and ‘하니까’ sentences are opposed in the declarative sentence. In other words, the former is easily familiar with the description of causality between directly recognized events, but in the latter case, the subordinate sentence provides evidence, and in the main sentence, the result is imagined and judged by the speaker, so it often ends in indirect recognition. Finally, as one of the characteristics of the ‘하니까’ reason sentence, modal endings such as ‘더/네’ and emotional predicates are scattered at the end of the main sentence because the subjectivity is comprehensive.

영문 초록

本稿は従属的な複文が因果性と時間性の側面から体系·構造的であるという枠組みと、「主体／客体の論理」の観点から韓国語の原因·理由文を考察したものである。 まず、「하기때문에」は「客体の論理」に従いながら、客観描写に徹する原因·結果の関係である原因文を表し、一方、「하니까」の方は原因を「主体の論理」を通し、話し手の積極的な態度である理由文を作り出す。それぞれ日本語の「するので」と「するから」に対応する。 次に、平叙文において「하기때문에」と「하니까」文は対立する。つまり、前者は直接認識した出来事間の因果関係の描写に馴染みやすいが、後者の場合は従属文では根拠を提示し、主文では話し手が想像·判断した帰結を表しやすい。だから、間接認識の形式で終わるものが多い。 最後に、「하니까」理由文の特徴の一つであるが、主体性が全影化するので、主文の文末には「더/네」などのモーダルな語尾や感情的な述語が散見される。
