국문 초록

연구목적: 장애아통합 및 전문어린이집에 근무하는 유아교사를 대상으로 장애유아를 위한 안전교육 실태와 인식을 파악하여 장애유아의 안전교육을 지원하는 기초 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 연구방법: 부산·울산·경남 지역의 장애아통합 및 전문어린이집에 근무하는 유아교사 200명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 회수된 161부를 분석 대상으로 SPSS Ver. 24 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 자료처리하였다. 연구결과: 유아교사들은 장애유아 안전교육에서 장애유형별 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 접근이 부족하며, 대집단 중심의 획일적인 시청각 교육에 의존하여 효과적인 교육 제공에 어려움을 겪었다. 또한, 교사들은 사례 연수 및 체험 교육 프로그램 개발과 함께 기관·부모·지역사회·정부의 지원을 통해 안전교육 질 향상이 필요하다고 인식하였다. 논의: 장애유아의 안전교육 실태 및 유아교사의 어려움을 파악하여 안전교육 수준을 평준화하고, 모든 장애유아에게 일관성 있는 교육 제공을 위한 체계적인 지원이 필요하다는 시사점이 도출되었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to identify the current status and awareness of safety education for children with disabilities among early childhood teachers working in children’s homes for children with disabilities and to use these data as a basis for supporting safety education for children with disabilities. Methods: A survey was conducted among 200 early childhood teachers working in integrated and specialized children’s centers for children with disabilities in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, with 161 completed questionnaires analyzed using SPSS Ver. 24. Results: Early childhood teachers lacked a customized approach that considered the characteristics of each disability, relying on uniform audio-visual education for large groups. They perceived that safety education quality should improve through case training, experiential education programs, and support from institutions, parents, communities, and the government. Conclusion: By identifying the current status of safety education for children with disabilities and the challenges faced by early childhood teachers, this study suggests that systematic support is needed to equalize safety education levels and provide consistent education for all children with disabilities.
