혁신학교의 교육과정 혁신 실행 양상 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 혁신학교를 경험한 교육 주체들의 면담을 통해 혁신학교가 어떤 모습을 지향하고 있으며, 그 실행 양상은 어떻게 나타나고 있는지 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 혁신학교에 대한 이해도가 높고, 혁신학교에서의 상호작용의 경험이 있는 초·중·고 교사 9명, 학부모 3명, 학생 6명을 대상으로 FGI(Focus Group Interviews)를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 3개의 대주제, 9개의 하위주제를 도출하였다. 이를 통하여 교육과정-수업-평가 혁신의 모습을 확인할 수 있었다. 학부모와 지역 자원을 활용한 교육과정과 학교 특성화 교육과정을 개발하거나 교원학습공동체를 통해 학교를 혁신하는 모습을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 학교 혁신의 큰 동력이 되었으며, 부정적인 기존의 교직문화를 바꾸고 있었다. 또한, 학생주도성을 구현하는 수업 패러다임의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 학생주도의 프로젝트 기반 학습, 학생 참여형 수업 설계와 피드백을 통한 성장 지원의 모습이 나타났다. 결론적으로, 서울 혁신학교(혁신미래학교)는 학생주도성을 중심에 두고 교육과정을 설계함으로써 학생들이 스스로 학습의 주체가 될 수 있는 환경을 조성하고 있다. 이러한 접근은 학생들이 자율적으로 탐구하고 자신의 의견을 반영할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써, 학습에 대한 책임감과 주체성을 강화하는 데 기여할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 드러난 혁신학교 교육 주체들의 실행 모습과 경험은 보다 실질적이고 효과적인 교육정책을 개발하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the vision of innovation schools and their implementation patterns through interviews with educational stakeholders who have experienced these schools. For this purpose, FGI (Focus Group Interviews) were conducted with 9 teachers, 3 parents, and 6 students from elementary, middle, and high schools who have a strong understanding of and experience in interactions within innovation schools. The results of this study revealed 3 major themes and 9 sub-themes. Through these findings, innovations in curriculum, instruction, and assessment were identified. It was observed that schools were innovating by developing curriculum that utilizes parents and local resources, creating school-specific curriculum, and transforming through teacher learning communities. These factors became major driving forces for school innovation and were changing the existing negative teaching culture. Additionally, a shift in the instructional paradigm toward implementing student agency was identified. Student-led project-based learning, student-participatory lesson design, and growth support through feedback were evident. In conclusion, Seoul Innovation Schools (Innovation Future Schools) are creating an environment where students can become agents of their own learning by designing curriculum centered on student agency. This approach can contribute to strengthening students' responsibility and agency in learning by providing opportunities for them to autonomously explore and reflect on their opinions. The implementation patterns and experiences of innovation school stakeholders revealed in this study can serve as foundational data for developing more practical and effective educational policies.
