한국어 번역 읽기 수업 과정과 실례 - 외국인을 위한 한국어 번역 학습자를 대상으로

국문 초록

한국어를 목표어로 번역하는 외국인을 위한 한국어 번역(KFLT) 학습자들은 자신의 번역 결과물에 대한 독자의 이해 여부에 대해 많은 고민을 하고 있고 그 원인을 번역을 위한 읽기의 부족함에서 찾고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서 일반 한국어 학습자도 아니고 전문 번역인도 아닌 과도기적 상태에 있는 KFLT 학습자의 고민을 해결해 주고자 KFLT 읽기 과목과 그 수업 과정을 제안하고 수업 과정을 반영한 수업의 실례를 보여주었다. KFLT 읽기 수업의 단계는 일반 한국어 교육의 과정 중심 읽기 3단계를 따랐다. 각 단계마다 실행해야 하는 사항들은 능동적 읽기 5단계를 적용하였다. 그리고 번역에 대한 이해와 읽기 단계마다 번역에 대한 염두를 하도록 번역 수업에서 사용하는 번역 브리프, 병렬 텍스트 읽기, 유사 텍스트 읽기, 글쓰기와 같은 번역 학습 방법을 추가하여 KFLT 읽기 수업 과정을 제안하였다. 그리고 화장품 회사 홈페이지 읽기 텍스트를 사용해서 앞서 제안한 KFLT 읽기 수업 과정의 진행을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 기존의 전문 번역 교육 방식보다는 KFLT학습자에게 맞는 수업 방식이 필요함을 알리고 KFLT 학습자 맞춤식 이해 교육 방안을 제안하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

KFLT learners who translate Korean as their target language are concerned about the readers' understanding of their translation results and are seeking reasons for the lack of reading of translated texts. In this study, the KFLT reading subject and its lesson process were proposed to solve the problems of KFLT learners who are not general Korean learners or professional translators, but in transitional situations. Examples of classes reflecting the lesson process were shown. The KFLT reading class was followed by the three stages of general Korean language education. The five active reading steps were applied to the items to be executed at each stage. In addition, the KFLT reading class was proposed as a subject for enhancing each understanding and reading stage of translation by adding translational learning methods, such as translation brief, parallel text reading, similar text reading, and writing used in translation classes. Using the cosmetics company homepage reading text, the KFLT reading class course proposed above was shown. This study is meaningful in that it demonstrates that a teaching method suitable for KFLT learners is required, rather than the existing professional translation education method; it further suggests a customized understanding education method for KFLT learners.
