국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 청각장애학생의 성격유형과 직업흥미 유형의 관계를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 청각장애 고등학생을 대상으로 에니어그램검사를 통해 나타난 성격유형과 홀랜드검사에서 도출된 직업흥미 유형과의 상관성을 알아보고 직업흥미 유형을 예측하는 성격유형을 알아보았다. 연구방법: 전국 청각장애 고등학생 중 대학 진학 및 취업을 희망하는 65명이 대상자로 참여하였다. 연구결과: 개혁가, 성취가, 사색가 및 지도자 성격의 청각장애학생은 4개의 직업흥미 유형과 상관을 나타내 가장 높은 직업흥미 유형과의 관련성을 나타냈다. 중재자 성격의 청각장애학생은 직업흥미 유형과의 상관이 없었다. 실재형 직업흥미를 선호할 가능성이 높은 성격은 개혁가, 중재자, 충성가 성격이었고, 탐구형 직업을 선호할 가능성은 성취가, 사색가, 중재가 성격을 가진 학생에게 나타났고, 예술형 직업은 예술가 성격의 학생이 선호하였고, 사회형 직업은 조력가와 중재자 성격이 선호할 가능성이 높았고, 기업형 직업은 지도자와 성취가 성격의 학생이 선호할 가능성이 높았으며, 관습형 직업을 선호할 청각장애학생은 성취가, 낙천가, 개혁가, 중재자 성격이었다. 결론: 이 연구에서 밝혀진 성격과 직업흥미의 관련성이 청소년기 청각장애학생의 진로선택을 위한 상담 기초자료를 제시할 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between personality types and career types among students with hearing impairments. Method: 65 high school students with hearing impairments who were seeking post-secondary education and employment across the country participated in the study. Results: Among students with hearing impairments, the results of the analysis showed that those who were identified as reformers, achievers, philosophers, and leaders were correlated to four career interest types, meaning that were most relevant to career interest types. However, students with hearing impairments, who were mediators, did not have any relationship with career interest types. Personality types that were most likely to prefer realistic career interests were reformers, mediators, and loyalists, while personality types most likely to prefer investigative career interests were achievers, philosophers, and mediators. On the other hand, the students who were artists type were most likely to prefer artistic career interests while helpers and mediators were likely to prefer social career interests. Finally, it was highly likely that the enterprising career interests were most likely to appeal to leaders and achievers while conventional career interests were likely to attract achievers, optimist, reformers, and mediators. Conclusion: The relationship between personality types and career interest types in the research is expected to provide some basic information when counseling young students with hearing impairments with regards to their career choices.
