특수학급 교사의 ICT 및 온라인 교사 커뮤니티 활용 실제 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 특수교육 현장에서 다양한 ICT 도구들이 도입되고 있는 환경적 변화에 주목하여, 특수학급 교사들의 ICT를 활용한 디지털 교수학습 자료 활용의 실제와 특수학급 교사들의 디지털 교수학습 자료 공유를 위한 온라인 커뮤니티 활용 및 참여 현황을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 전국의 초・중・고등학교 특수학급 교사 162명을 대상으로 하여 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문도구는 기본사항, ICT 활용 현황, 디지털 교수학습 자료의 수정, 온라인 교사 커뮤니티 참여로 네 가지 영역을 측정하였으며, 수집된 설문응답의 통계분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과 특수학급 교사들이 디지털 교수학습 자료를 다양한 방법으로 사용하기 보다는 학습의 보충 자료 및 교재의 수준에서 많이 활용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 교수학습 자료 수정 시 ICT를 활용하는 경우가 많으며, 효율적인 정보를 제시하고 학생의 참여를 유도하기 위한 목적성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 온라인 교사 커뮤니티 참여의 경우, 특수학급 교사가 현재 참여하고 있는 온라인 교사 커뮤니티가 다양하기 보다는 특정 커뮤니티에 집중되는 현상이 나타났다. 특수학급 교사들이 커뮤니티에서 자원의 제공자 보다는 수요자의 역할을 취하는 경우가 많으며, 교수-학습 상황에 맞게 수정 및 가공하여 사용할 수 있는 형태의 자료에 대한 필요성이 높음을 발견할 수 있었다. 결론: 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 특수학급 교사들의 ICT 기기와 디지털 교수학습 자료 활용의 다양화 및 온라인 교사 커뮤니티 확산을 위한 지원과 후속연구에 대하여 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: Considering the environmental changes that various ICT tools have been introduced in the special education field, the goals of this study are to investigate the patterns of special education classroom teachers' ICT utilization on digital teaching and learning resources, and to analyze the status of their participation in online teacher communities. Method: The study conducted the online survey with 162 special education classroom teachers in elementary, middle, and high schools. The questionnaire included four areas: basic information, ICT utilization, modification of digital teaching and learning resources, and participation in online teacher communities. The collected data was analyzed through statistical methods. Results: The study found that the special education classroom teachers tend to use digital teaching and learning resources as supplementary materials rather than using various instructional methods. ICT is often used as a tool to modify teaching and learning materials in order to present information effectively and to induce student participation. Regarding participation in online teacher communities, it was found that special education classroom teachers participated in a limited type of communities and tend to take a role of the content consumer rather than a provider of resources. The study also found the needs for digital resources that special education classroom teachers could easily modify and adapt to fit into their lesson context. Conclusion: Based on the results, the study proposed some implications concerning how to promote the wide use of ICT-supported digital resources and online communities of practices for special education classroom teachers.
