국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 차별 경험이 우울에 미치는 영향과 장애인의 종교활동의 조절효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법: 2020년에 한국보건사회연구원이 조사한 한국복지패널 15차년도 패널자료를 사용하였고, 연구목적에 맞는 769명의 자료를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 연구결과: 회귀분석 결과 첫째, 장애인의 차별 경험과 우울감은 정(+)의 결과가 나왔다. 이는 장애인의 차별 경험이 많을수록 더 많은 우울감을 느낌을 의미한다. 둘째, 장애인의 차별 경험과 종교활동의 상호작용과 우울감은 부(-)의 유의한 값이 확인되었는데, 이는 장애인이 차별 경험을 느낄 때의 우울감은 종교활동으로 인해 일정량 해소되어 상대적으로 적은 수준의 우울감만을 추가로 느끼는 것으로 해석된다. 결론: 이상의 논의와 분석결과를 근거로 장애인의 종교활동을 통한 우울감 감소와 장애극복을 위한 방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of discriminatory experiences of people with disabilities on depression and the moderating effect of religious activities on people with disabilities. Method: The panel data of the 15th year of the Korea Welfare Panel surveyed by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KHI) in 2020 were used, and data from 769 people suitable for the purpose of the study were used as the final analysis data. Results: As a result of regression analysis, first, discriminatory experiences and depression showed positive (+) results for people with disabilities. This means that the more experiences of discrimination against people with disabilities, the more depressed they feel. Second, a negative (-) significant value was confirmed for the experience of discrimination and the interaction between religious activities and depression of people with disabilities. This is interpreted as an additional feeling of only a low level of depression. When a person with a disability experiences discrimination, a certain amount of depression tends to be relieved by religious activities, and only a relatively small level of depression is additionally felt. Conclusion: Based on the above discussion and analysis results, methods for reducing depression and overcoming disability through religious activities were discussed.
