本稿は、『記』『書紀』における大物主神に纏わる伝承の在り方やその担い手を中心に『記』の編纂意図を考察したもので、その結果は次の通りである。 まず、国作りの段で大国主神と大物主神を別神としている『記』と両神を同一視しようとする神代紀一書の記述の違いについては、氏族とその奉斎神である「三輪の神」を正すためであると考えられる。 次に、『記』『書紀』における三輪山伝承の担い手となる氏族については、丹塗矢伝承の場合は、鉄生産や製鉄集団である渡来系氏族の賀茂氏との関連性を想定したし、また三輪山伝承の場合は、意富多々泥古を祖先とする三輪氏がこれに深く関わっているのではないかと考えた。 三つ目に、三輪山伝承において意富多々泥古が「神君·鴨君の祖」という始祖注をつけていることについては、神武記の丹塗矢伝承と崇神記の三輪山伝承とを結び付けるための働きを持ち合わせていると推察できる。その目的は、意富多々泥古を神君の祖として、また神武記の丹塗矢伝承の保持者と思われる鴨君の祖としてそれぞれ位置づけるためのものである。と同時に、それは神武記の丹塗矢伝承では神婚譚を通して大物主神の女の血統を天皇家の内部にとり込み、崇神記の三輪山伝承では祭祀を通して大物主神の祟り神としての神性を抑えることでその絶対性を打ち出そうとしているのである。それは『記』編者の編纂意図によるものであると考えられる。

영문 초록

In this article, I analyse the folklores of Ōmononushi-no Kami stated in Ki and Shoki and the storytellers of these folklores in order to explore the intention of the editor of Ki. The main results of this study are as follows. First, there is a difference in the treatment of Ōkuninushi-no Kami and Ōmononushi -no Kami between Ki and Shoki. In the former, they are identified as one and the same god, whilst in the latter, they are viewed as different gods. This difference, I argue, is due to the editor’s intention to correctly describe the clan of Uji and their god, Ōmiwa-no Kami. Second, I argue that the clan of Uji, the storyteller of three folklores of Miwayama, suggested relevance of the lore of Ninuriya to the clan of Kamo, who produced ironware, and relevance of the lore of Miyama to the clan of Miwa, whose ancestor is Ōtataneko. Third, in the folklores of Miwayama, Ōtataneko is described as “the God, the genesis of Kamo-no Kimi,” and this seems to connect the lore of Ninuriya in Jinmuki with the lore of Miyama in Sujinki. The objective of this is to regard Ōtataneko as the ancestor of Miwa-no Kimi and as the ancestor of Kamo-no Kimi who maintained the lore of Ninuriya. At the same time, it takes a female descendent of Ōmononushi-no Kami in the emperor family through the story of god’s marriage in Jinmuki, and emphasises the power of Ōmononushi-no Kami by restraining its mystical nature as the god of punishment in the lore of Miyama in Sujinki. I contend that these were intentionally described by the editor of Ki.
