월경과 이산, ‘재일(在日)’의 존재 방식

국문 초록

이 글에서는 재일(在日)의 한 기원을 탐색하기 위해 이회성의 『백년 동안의 나그네』 서사를 분석했다. 『백년 동안의 나그네』는 제국주의와 식민지 지배, 제2차 세계대전 등 세계사적 전환과 국제정치의 역학 구도 속에서 소외되고 배제된 조선인 마이너리티의 존재 방식을 서사화하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 강제 징용 및 연행, 수용소 탈출 등 지속적인 월경과 이산 과정에 놓여 있는 재일조선인의 존재 조건을 파악할 수 있게 한다. 또한 이 소설은 제국적 질서 속에서 삶을 영위해왔던 조선인들이 해방 이후 새로운 자기를 구축하면서 고백의 윤리성을 획득하는 과정을 통해 재일조선인 문학으로서 한국과 일본의 민족문학을 탈영토화하고 재영토화할 가능성을 보여준다. 이 글에서는 『백년 동안의 나그네』 서사를 분석하는 것을 통해 재일의 한 기원을 추적하는 동시에 재일조선인들의 존재 조건 및 방식을 고찰하는 한편, 소수적인 문학으로서 재일조선인 문학의 가능성을 가늠해볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In this article, I analyzed the narrative of Lee, Hoe-seong s A Traveler for One Hundred Years in order to explore the origin of zainichi(resident in Japan). A Traveler for One Hundred Years narrates the way of existence of Korean minorities alienated and excluded from the dynamics of international politics and the transformation of world history such as imperialism, colonial rule, and World War II. In addition, it is possible to grasp the conditions of existence of Korean residents in Japan who are in the process of continuing crossing boundary and separation, such as forced labor, arrest, and escape from camps. Furthermore, it shows the process of gaining the ethics of confession while building new selves by Koreans who have led their lives in the imperial order. And above all, it shows the possibility of deterritorialization and reterritorialization of Korean and Japanese national literature as literature of Korean residents in Japan. In this article, by analyzing the narrative of A Traveler for One hundred years, it was possible to trace the origin of zainichi and examine the conditions and methods of existence of Korean residents in Japan, while also making possible the possibility of literature of Korean residents in Japan.
