새로운 미디어 시대의 미술교육 방향

국문 초록

현대인은 가짜의 이미지가 실재를 대신하는 시뮬라크르의 미혹 속에 살아가고 있다. 더 이상 모사할 실재가 없어진 시뮬라크르들은 실재보다 더 실재 같은 하이퍼 리얼리티를 생산해 낸다. 이러한 미디어 시대에 대하여 귄터 안더스는 이미지들은 현실과의 경계가 모호한 유령 상태의 팬텀을 지나 결국에는 현실을 역전하는 가상세계인 매트릭스가 된다고 하였으며, 폴 비릴리오는 현대의 기술 문명의 발전으로 인한 속도의 증가와 이로 인한 공간의 소멸, 인간 해체에 관한 비관론적 미디어론을 펼치고 있다. 이러한 새로운 미디어 시대는 미술교육에서도 새로운 교육적 방향을 요구하고 있다. 미술교육은 미술의 가능성에 대한 지속적인 실천이며, 인간의 삶과 생활 속에서 끊임없이 생성되는 조형과 이미지에 대한 교육적 모색이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 새로운 미디어에 대한 미술교육의 방향은 미디어에 의해 파생된 이미지의 교육적 고찰과 미디어의 본질에 대한 탐구에서 출발한다. 보드리야르와 안더스, 그리고 비릴리오의 미디어론에서 본질적 가상 상태에 직면한 인간의 자율 의지 촉진을 통해 통제 불가능한 가상 세계의 현실적 수용에 대한 가능성을 찾을 수 있다. 이런 현재의 미디어의 상황은 사유하는 인간이 주체가 되는 세계를 형성할 수 있는 새로운 미술교육의 등장을 요구하고 있는 것이다.

영문 초록

Modern human beings has lived in a delusion of simulacre of reality which is substituted by false image. Like this simulacre which govern and substitute reality can not copy reality any more. So simulacre produce hyper reality which is more reality than reality. Günther Anders says that actuality absolves and disappears by media and images pass Phantom which obscures the boundary between actuality and becomes Matrix which is virtual world. Paul Virilio shows pessimistic media theory which modern technology increased everything's speed and space extinct because of increase of speed and in the end extinct of space dismantle human beings. This situation of media demand new educational paradigm in art education. In this context we can discuss that discourse of new media and image produced by media and acceptance of social issues and in the continuity the change of media education Jean Baudrillard, Günther Anders and Paul Virilio's media theory promotes human being's free will which performs new media world rather than shows desperate world view. We fortify positive function of media and overcome negative effect to have a full discussion and form a new media world which maintain subjective humanity, and in a current media context which image form virtual space and can not control, new art education which form the world that human is the subject is demanded.
