국문 초록

본 연구는 아동양육시설을 퇴소했거나 퇴소를 앞둔 청소년을 대상으로 자아기능 및 양육기능을 강화하기 위한 프로그램을 구성하고, 그 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 아동양육시설에 거주하는 18세부터 24세 사이의 청소년 6명이며, 이들은 주 1회, 2시간씩 총 8회기로 구성된 프로그램에 참여하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 살펴보기 위해 사전-사후 검사를 실시하였으며, 정량적 분석으로 비모수적 통계방법을 사용하였고, 프로그램 참여 과정에서 경험한 변화를 분석하기 위해 질적 분석을 병행하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주요결과로는 첫째, 프로그램은 참여자들의 실제 요구를 반영하여 구성되었으며, 그 내용에 대한 수용도가 높았다. 둘째, 본 연구 참여자들의 자아기능 및 양육기능은 프로그램 실시 전에 비해 실시 후에 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 셋째, 참여자들은 프로그램 과정을 통해 자신에 대한 이해를 높였으며, 타인과의 건강한 관계를 위해 효과적인 의사소통이 필요하다는 점을 인식하게 되었다. 또한, 좋은 부모의 역할에 대해 구체적으로 이해하게 되었고, 장차 자신도 좋은 부모가 될 수 있다는 자신감을 얻게 되었다. 본 연구는 아동양육시설을 퇴소한 또는 퇴소를 앞둔 청소년들의 자아기능과 양육기능을 통합적으로 탐색하였다는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 다양한 교육이나 상담적 접근을 통해 개인의 성장을 지원하고 긍정적인 변화를 이끌어낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the effects of a program designed to strengthen ego function and parenting skills for six adolescents who have left or are preparing to leave residential childcare facilities. They participated in an eight-session program, conducted once a week for two hours per session. Pre- and post-tests were conducted to evaluate the program's effectiveness, with quantitative data analyzed using non-parametric methods and qualitative analysis conducted in parallel. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, the program was well-aligned with the participants' needs and was received positively. Second, the participants showed positive changes in their ego function and parenting skills after the program when compared to before. Third, the participants demonstrated improvements in ego function and parenting skills, gained deeper self-understanding, and recognized the importance of effective communication for healthy relationships. Fourth, the participants also acquired a clearer understanding of what it means to be a good parent and reported increased confidence in their ability to become good parents in the future. This study confirmed that educational and counseling approaches can support individual growth and lead to positive change.
